900 days ago 1 categories Got to take any session at this time of year, water a lot cooler than the last time I was out! Good wee sail on the harbour, tricky conditions very lumpy and gusty.
Feeling the lack of sailing, didn't feel to comfy pushing very hard through the chop. Good to line against Aaron, can he he is very sailing fit at and going fast!

900 days ago Greenpark Huts. FF 97, Severne OD 5.5 20cm fin. Didn't do many ks but an exhausting session all the same. Choppy and hard to get going. Out of practise, was cramping up and shivering with the cold. Started on the 6.2 and was overpowered so waded back to get the smaller sail. That was a marathon in itself. Thank you Dan for dragging my other sail back. When I finally got going was too exhausted to give it my best.

900 days ago Lake Ellesmere. Nice day blasting up and down the sandbar. 15 eo 20knts for most of the day. Good water depth with this wind strenght, Wind came up a bit maybe gusting 25 at the end of the day but was rather spent on energy. Good day despite the wind being a bit on the light side. 900 days ago Christchurch Estuary, NZ ..Sailing from 1120 to 1540, didn't see any of the promised 20 knots. Still had fun though - I started out by trying a bendy T-LAB 38 in my CA82 to try and get it going in the light winds, and I was actually able to rail ride it. Felt quite edgy in the 15 knot gusts. Have always thought rail riding is more fun than sailing flat, but I was fairly soon catching weed, so swapped my trusty Tribal 18 in instead - kept sailing on that until the only water left was the river.
