South Yunderup, WA, AU. Had to be elsewhere in afternoon so choose here due to wind direction.    Some brutal gusts after rig up and almost changed down a size but glad I didn't.  Not much flat water, just a tiny patch about 50m long behind the little island so hung out there.  Wind spun west very early so would have been better in pond...the boys there probably having a good time. The entry to the run was brutal and my best run was approached in the 'shit stance' till the last second, accelerated in the flat and then hit the chop...just a bit more flat and would have got way faster... The ladies joined after a while and Decrepit and Elmo I think launched from different spot.  Sorry to all that were sending me questions..was on water.  iSonic97, 6.3 KAR, FF18V4 CNC

Hit the chook with Boz and Richo hoping to get some consistency with the wind.Alas not to be and only got pulses of wind similar to what we have been getting on previous fronts this winter. Got lucky on one squall at the start line while Boz and Richo were at the wrong end..Good direction along the weed bank..Ended up walking out with Boz while Richo slogged back on the bigger gear..Powerd by the 5.8SCR,47 Mistral,22ws.

Coodanup, WA, AU The usual suspects, rigged the 6.3 that lasted 2 runs when the squal of the day hit pity was on the outside of the pond. Rerigged to 5.2 much better but decided for the bigger board the 59, wrong move so back to shore picked the 54 manta heavenly😁made the way into the chook few nice runs but nothing epic until of course decided to leave the chook only the see the second squal of the day hit while being on the wrong side and too far down of the pond, mr ant though was positioned beautifully to take advantage. By the time I got up to the run it was all over and a walk back from the wrong side with Ant once again. Off course as we all derided and yapping the mega squal came through but this time perfect direction and optimal tide, great sport roll the dice for winter sailing😎 Great company as usual Richo and ant plus one straggler

Another road trip to Coods with fingers crossed for some quality wind.  Apart from a few good gusts it wasn't  to be.

Had good company in Boz and Ant. Ant got the gust of the day while Boz and i tried to sail up wind to have our share but the best was gone. Lucky i decided to sail big today so i managed to sail out leaving the boys to do the walk of shame. As we were about to drive away a strong squal hit and we all thought typical.

Yunderup WA sonic 85, 5.4K, 22 FF with Flex and Gloria, and Elmo and Decrepit in the distance. Westerly wind 15 - 18 kn ave, tide 0.9 - 0.8

My best session since the first of March, and my longest distance since February. I am happy with the alpha. Probably my best winter alpha ever. Reasonably consistent wind for most of it, and flattish water.

I followed Elmo in to Batavia Quays only to find that Flex was not there. It was raining and not conducive to rigging anyway, so I went around to Welya Cres and there was Flex, along with Gloria who had just rolled up. I would have arrived earlier, but a cloudburst as I was driving along the freeway caused me to miss the Pinjarra Road turnoff (the rain was so heavy I could not hear the GPS directions, and I was concentrating so hard on staying on the road I didn't realise I had missed the turnoff until I was on the overpass over Pinjarra Road) and I had to take the long scenic route through West Pinjarra to get back. This probably caused me to miss the strongest wind.

I rigged conservatively expecting some strong gusts and squalls. There was only one big squall right at the end, and it was very hard to get going because the botton was so slimy and allowed no grip. After that squall the wind dropped right off and I came in at just the right moment.

Definitely a top 10 Yunderup sail. A bit less rain, a bit more sunshine, and about 10 degrees more warmth and it would have been perfect!

Nice work on improving the scores today.

Well done Ant on another 40. Mr Consistency.

Congratulations Flex, on alpha of the day.

Very similar scores Boz and Richo. Were you sailing tandem?

Good to see Gloria getting out and trying a new spot.

Not so many 72 year old grannies on the water today...Gloria, you need a GPS and will be top of leaderboard!   A few snaps: Gloria, Windxtasy and the tiny patch of flatish water behind the little island.  Water looks flat in all the photos but really wasn't...body is feeling it today.

Sue, I  would normally rig a 6.2 for that wind but Flex said he had been overpowered in the gusts on a 6.3 so I went smaller, anticipating  the 25 - 30kn gusts that were  forecast
