remery (5385km): Coodanup, WA, AU M95, SV M2 5.5 I rigged small.to match my biceps.
waricle (19211km): Coodanup, WA, AU CA63 SCR6.3 fangy S21 A cruisey sail with a lot of sailors arriving as the wind freshened. Gloria and I packed up just as it was getting strong. We’d had enough. It was good. Coods is looking good for this season.
Rob (6251km): A great day at Coodanup, Severn OD 7.0 Patrik 115 and CA 92.
Elmo (31700km): Patrik 100, NP RSR E8 7.0, LE33cm Knocked of work early to get a sail in, got my lumpy goodness at Novara, twas quite nice, spent most of the session faffing around with the mast adaptor for the DIY units, which kinda worked, need to fine tune, but worked out well pretty much in direct line of sight. Firie destroyed me.
Firiebob (18005km): Lumpys, WA, AU 87L CA, 27 TWS, 6.6 Koncept and a thin rubber. I heard Elmo was going for a blast down at Lumpys so I thought it might be a good time to come out of retirement. This was my first slap in about 19 months so it took awhile to work out what I was doing, maybe it's dementia. For the life of me I couldn't work out how thread the downhaul line, thanks Alby. Session was short but very sweet, so nice to blast through Novara's lumpy goodness but alas the cold got me, only a spring suit and forgot the thermal rashie, maybe I do have dementia Thanks for the company Alby
Bully boy fat Basil (4932km): A good outing with lots of company.
Decrepit (54840km): Fun Fangy sail! nice early seabreeze, started a bit lighter than forecast but I think it ended up stronger. I went with the 55cm board 6.2 Koncept, and 20cm deltoid. This was a good combo once the wind kicked in. Jus Basil, Remery and myself launched from Nairns The Pinnas launched from Wamba St. I was nervous about the falling tide and -ve storm suge, but water level didn't drop, it actually rose slightly. Must have been wind pressure pushing the wate across the estuary. I was supposed to test the old M10 firmware to see if it improved drop outs at 10hz, but I must have forgoten to hit the submit button, because it was still on 5hz. That will have to wait until next time. Tried a few alphas, but my gybes are very rusty, going to have to do some serious practice. |
