Christchurch Estuary, FF79, MIKEZ 25 fin, Sev OD 6m.Managed to top 30kts again, got to try and top 31 now. Got the Isonic out  but couldn't make it happen, wicked cramps, caught up in weed and channel swim.

Next time

Christchurch Estuary, NZ ..Looked very choppy so I started out with a conventional fin, but on the very first run I unwittingly gybed into weed and very nearly got catapulted. ..Came in and changed to a 22cms weed fin, and also downhauled my sail a bit more - I wish I'd left it alone, it was alright how it was.

First run with my refreshed ensemble, ..I get to the other side and bear away deep into Kitesurfers corner - And then literally in the next second, my sail suddenly collapsed out of the sky as if it had deep stalled - Yet at the same time there I was still trying to hold the thing up without a breath of wind in it, meanwhile I was careering along on my arse. Actually surfing along on my arse! ..and it was quite surprising how long it took to stop.

..Undid some downhaul and the sail was fine again, but soon ended up having to go in again for another shorter fin, as the tide was disappearing quick today. Didn't seem to get much sailing - too many fin changes.
