6am early morning session Ackerstern,Nelson,NZ.

Rigged for the conditions (N 20-30knots) rather than forecast as wanting to catch the outgoing tide 6am-7am window and not have the incoming tide standing waves at the river mouth.

Took out the Falcon 79 rather than the speed board due to the lulls in the wind. The FF79 really has some pace, this was the fastest I have been on a slalom board.

KAR5.7, FF79, Tribal 27, GW52.

Wind changed to 30 to 45knots NW (as per forcast) just after 7am and was too strong for me with that kit, I used up alot of energy getting back to shore (survial mode) and was too tired to re-rig and try the 5.2.

Christchurch Estuary, JP112, V36, SeOD5.5, West 30+kts, insane ride, wind got under board and sent me flying.

Finally put board through its paces, it's a keeper

Christchurch Estuary, Unexpected sail. Just brutal. Big gusts and shifts . First run I was just sheeting out upwind and tail walking. But managed an estuary pb on the open water. Stoked..Some rather hairy gusts at times. Easily 30 knot gusts. Needed a smaller sail for sure. FF 79 M5 6.2 C3 30
