Lake George SA Au

XFire90, 5.4North, FF18

Session ended prematurely after an awkward stack.  Thanks Dave and Michael for helping carry my gear in.

And, no, Sue - not because I hit the bottom - because I sail like poo.

Lake George, SA, AU FMX speed , duotone 5.8 atomic 18.5 and tribal 20 Best day so far and enjoying it but hard work under done on 5.8 and speed board just 5 knots more would have been so much nicer.

Short sail before road hitting. First out, sailed on my own the whole time. 5 8  was fully powered up at the start and overpowering at the end. No flats, 31 of the biggest hairiest knots ever. Think my motion is buggered, I'm sure there was a 40 in there

Day 3 - Cockies 18 - 24kts SSE Lake George SA

WT57 ( 90ltre)

6.5m Turbo one run

Then

5.7m Gator one run

Then 4.5m blade just right.

First run I had heaps of power and was going nowhere. Very tiring.  Figured it was something to do with the fin..Spun out as I went to gybe and there was a big clump of weed on it. Embarassed

By the time I'd rigged 3 sails I vowed if the 4.5m wasn't right I'd take my toys and go home.Undecided

Just right! Only one out so I was relieved when Jimbob and Danny arrived later.

Got a few gybes. Didn't attempt any near the shore as I was too powered. Went for some bearaways with spectacular sink the tail emergency stops.

About 2ft steep messy chops in the middle that were hard to pick a line through but some 6 - 10 inch rollers on the weedbeds.

Very happy with that speed out in the middle. That's good for me on that combo in the chop. Tongue out

Not as bad as Coal Point.

Decided to pull the plug when the others arrived as I'd had a good play and was still in one piece.

8/10 fun ( I didn't get as many gubes).

Looking forward to a lightwind cruise tomorrow.
