Great crew down for the first day of the long weekend. Morning start & went small sail big board, got both the hr & Alpha on that. Absolutely jagged the Alpha, got the right tide & wind combo at Lilacs end, stoked to do that on the 102L board Huey got revenge on the hour as the wind died just as I was about to do the last couple of runs, grovelled right the way back to the flags
Tried the smaller board later but couldn't find any speed.

299 days ago 2 categories Lilacs Albany great to be out with a big crew, fab to share the stoke. As per usual I rigged to the forecast and what I like riding rather than the conditions, so I was a bit disappointed with my speeds, however the fun factor and enjoyment was very high. Great to see Dr Cam get some of the action, 6000km+ via Brisbane for a windsurf thats what I call normal for a wsurf nutter!! And all the Perth and Mandurah Maddies driving 400km+ for a wsurf. Today for me was frustrating (thats the severly censered version), felt like I was totaly out of sinc with the gusts today.
I rigged the 7m because I could see everyone struggling with holes / getting going.
I had 3 naughty attempts before I threw in the towel. each with run had massive holes, the lastI had to stand upright on the board to keep it going and not fall in, ended up having to body drag a chunk of the way back to shore.
Good to catch up with everyone, Sorry I ddin't see your "Tim sized dent" Tim.

Had a ball sailing everywhere, just not powered on the gear. Look like 5.8 was the one (like Tim said), I kept hoping all session it come in, but just not happen. Still enjoy it to be on small stuff.
Lot of water but not enough wind I found
Lot of people out, and great to catch up with everyone

298 days ago 2 categories Lilacs, WA, Au. Motion small. Manual upload from motion. Fixed 5x10 entry Good breeze increasing thru the day as predicted. Low tide in the morning with a very fast increase to a high tide late morning that lasted till around 4:30-5:00 pm Started on 86 I sonic. 5.6 Loft RB, 20 ANW. Did five nm runs each slower than the last. 😁Gave up when it got too lumpy for speed around 1pm and had a long lunch, like four hours 😳 Put the 86 iso and 5.6 sail away and got out the ca44 with 17 speed demon and rigged the 5.0 Loft RB in anticipation or much stronger winds and flatter water. I got impatient and went out too early. All that happened was I had difficulty starting and didn't go any faster than the morning as the tide was still too high and choppy. came in And waited for the tide to drop more and went out again. It was better but not CA44 wide better. Gave up and came in when I could see it was just too hard and I was too worn out, in every sense of the word. First time using the two loft blades and I like them. Great day made more enjoyable sharing it with a fine crew of fellow sailors. The sun came out too.
