5kts ENE then glass off then patchy 5 -10kts W- NW - NNW came in 10-12kts NE as I had to leave.

Budgewoi Lake, NSW, AU level 0.13/5 very shallow

 7.5m Turbo - RS4 ( 111ltres)- 24 cm FF

I wanted to try my 'new' Turbo. Not enough wind to say but it has better shape and is a bit harder to rotate especially in 2kts wind. Undecided

Had to walk 400m to get deep enough . Got going in 5 kts ENE then it glassed off for 30 mins. Just as I was going to go in there were a few puffs with some patchy 10-12kts W- NNW..Finally turnede NE and started to come in as I had to go home.

 Good exercise and gybing practise.

Jimmy’s beach, nsw. Formula 160, Ezzy Cheetah 8.5, 66cm. So good I’d have to say slightly surreal. Big blue bay with no soul but me sailing it. No one on the beach.
It started very light and I was happy to cruise not planing down to the sailing shed and went for a walk in the park. No sounds but kookaburras. When I took off from there it started to plane so I sent it deeper into the bay than I’ve ever been before. Out there I screamed like a happy baby in awe at the sight of Yaccaba from the south, steep Hawaii like cliffs.
After that mobdog came so I kept going. Sail was bagged out and becoming a handful so I went max downhaul and it handled good again. Some ripper runs with my brother into sunset.
Went out toward Yaccaba and cruised along the beach with a flock of singing black cockies.

I was a bit worried about keeping the 66cm fin on as wind picked up but it handled fine.
Third go on the Formula and loving it.

Sounds lovely Dave. I  hope it blows a NE for October.

Yes I too hope some NE keep coming. I was feeling a bit desperate for some fun in the sun, so good to get that yesterday. I’m realising that spring is the best here. Last year in summer the winds were a bit more east and that’s not ideal here. Also boat traffic will chop it up in summer. Loving the flying thong 🩴. This place is made for boards like that! This could be our last year doing like this here with the planned beach driving restrictions. Getting it while the gettin still good.
