Coodanup, WA, AU Ah well probably end of an era, hopefully the boyz post PBs🫡 chook looks like it’ll be out of action with signs being posted next week, well that’s what the ranger said. Been in the works for 3yrs with the foreshore plan looking like it’ll be happening this summer. I had fun spending 90% on the outside, great fun sending over chop but not too bad chop. Best speeds all on the outside. Was going to head over back into the pond with the boyz but arm had enough after 80ks of pounding. On a positive note the weed looks really good on the bottom, slimy green might get the greens like we had many years ago😄 Fanatic 56 KAR 5.2

6.2m Apache, 110 Radix, 38 mk2.

Taken out by a virus on Sunday night- still fevery this morning so decided not to sail... but it was too windy to miss out so went at the end of the day. Sailed to Majestic in a good lull and had a quick chat to Ben who'd been out for a while and was heading in. The wind was super gusty. I rigged for full comfort since I had no gas in the tank. Adrenaline kicked in after the first gust, and did a few more runs. Last few were the fastest but I was pooped (almost literally). Nice to get powered up just wish I had more energy to send it. Almost catapaulted on the last run!

Arrived to see Boz, Ant and Kai. Went into the pond and got a good first run then it was on and off for the late afternoon. Good to get out and feel some decent gusts.

A big afternoon in the chook pond. There were 3 or 4 big squalls with heaps of power that came through but I just didn't manage to crack a 40.

5.4 Sailworks, 51 iSonic with a 21 weed speed.

nooooooo.... it was inevitable... after 1000s of years of freedom... yet another rule saying "NO" is made, and none is taken away. Cry

Great to see you sailed down there Boz. I was concerned the tide would be too low. Sad to hear about the Chook Pond. Hopefully it's a seasonal event the same way Pt walter is restricted in the summer months. Strangely, water traffic doesn't seem to be an issue around Pt Walter.

It will be interesting to see what happens with the signs.

We were told the pond is a waterway and comes under the dept of transport.

Aparently they can only limit the speed to 5kts. Not much good to us though.

So for a total ban sign to be legal, something has to change, possibly the pond has to come under what used to be the EPA.

Peter Dans, maybe able to tell us.

oi good work guys, glad you got into the pond... spewing I couldnt get there. Hanging for a windy summer.... you never know though, we could get another front or 3... Best wind I've sailed in WA (still by far the fastest I've been here) was a nuking cold front that came through on 30 Nov 2011... lit on a 5.0m and 41cm speed board. Hanging for another day like that... waiting... praying...
