Fangies Coodanup wind was picking up as I was leaving measured 25kts just before I drove off.  When I arrived was measuring 17/19kts. Any way deliberately left speed board at home becaise I wanted to see if my medium slalom board would be more fun, and yes overall much more fun, just not as exhilirating downwind.  Also leaving the speedboard at home must have unconsciously caused me to leave my GPS's at home.  Could only guess my speeds, I reckon 33/35kts peak speed, and went for a couple of Alphas nailed one good one, maybe a 23/24kt alpha, in reality my peak speed was probably 29.9kts and my best alpha was 19,9kts

Coodanup, WA, AU CA SP60 LRB 5.6 Fangy 21s sunny fresh breeze on a low rising tide. Borrowed Glorias’ Sp60 105 l for a try. Nice. Lots of sailors enjoying the almost perfect conditions. Had a short sail, saving myself for tomorrow 😃

Patrik 100, NP RSR E-XV 6.5m, JP weed 31cm.

Today was a day of contrasts

PossitiveLaughing I got out for a sail after work.

NegativeFrown I had to work first listening to the wind howling.

PositiveLaughing Actually managed to get rigged up  before 1630

NegativeFrown the phone went off at 1630.

PositiveLaughing  Put a weed fin in (it was weedy everywhere).

Negative Frown Kicked said weed fin with my achilles as I left the water at the end of the session

PositiveLaughing  Surpisingly I was reasonably comfortable with the board mostly on the water, so much so I thought about going out to the platform, but decided against it.

Negative Frown Footstrap came apart mid gybe, there is a poitive there Laughingas it wasn't whilst I was loaded up going out to the platform.

Positive Laughing Just the footstrap screw come loose rather than sheared off.

Negative Frown Snapped my screw driver bit tightening the screw

Positive Laughing I had another screwdriver

Positive Laughing Two more nice runs

Positive Laughing Surprised by the speed

Negaitive Frown One of my DIY GPS's was playing more than normal silly buggers (going to have to pull my finger out on new ones)

Positive Laughing Got an appointment with Simon the Sadist to get my neck and back sorted.

Overall I'll take it as a win, just getting out after wiork is a win. Not hurting myself is a bonusLaughingLaughingLaughing

Best part of the day was catching up with a former MM Johnski who came down to Novara to teach his youngest tacker how to kiteCoolCoolCoolCoolCool

Mike your fails as you call them are not too bad compared to what i did yesterday

i changed my harness lines to fixed , big mistake

i did not tighten my new seat harness properly it kept falling off

i changed my outhaul system, it did not work at all the way i set it up

i had too small a fin and kept spinning out

if it had not been for that i may have had a good day, the company i had was very good though
