Andrew Haigh (50695km): Coal Point, NSW, AU NE 8-16 Stingray 115, Flow 1000 and 5.8 Started out great but then faded away when we were up at 16 fters
Chopper (3797km): Coal Point NSW Au Sky Wing 130L, 1430 wing, 5m Unit First time in harness. Sailed over to Belmont Bay and then had a slow downwind-ish trip back when the wind dropped off a bit.
Ant-man (13637km): Coal Point, NSW, AU 4.7 Taka 1250. Sensational sail until it switched off. I encouraged Jen to practice Winging down behind Coalie (flat and consistent wind). As soon as she got there the wind flopped. My bad.
sboardcrazy (25351km): patchy 10-15kts 13th Wing then patchy 0 - 12kts ENE Fin Belmont Bay (Slipways), NSW, AU 130ltre F one - 5m matador - 1800 front wing- 13th attempt Probably the most ideal conditions I've had. It was patchy but the gusts were enough to attempt foiling but not overpowering. 7.9kts top speed - 2.7kms distance I wore out quickly as I was bearing off and trying to foil regularly but of course fell off straight away each time. Scrambling back on the board wore me out... I managed to stand up , get upwind , bear off even do some pretty average pumping attempts.. I got up quite a few times. The feet seem to be in a better position. I think I now have to learn how to depower the wing as soon as I come up. The power pulls me off downiwnd and off I go. I'm starting to feel more in control. At least in flatwater. Wing tracks I was impressed to see Nic had come over from Coal on the wing . 1st harness use. very impressive! 7.5m Turbo- 125ltre Tabou - 38cms tectonics weedy I decided to rig the fin and have some fun in the flat water but by the time I got out it was crap..Super gusty with only a few strong enough to get going. It was hard to get back in too. I won't bother trying to fin there again unless it's SE. Plenty of wingers although it was best earlier when I was out. Andrew and Nic and a young guy on a fin. Fin track
Byron Mcilveen (64786km): Bonnells Bay, NSW, AU Duotone 7.8, F4 620, falcon foil Died when I got out hard to even get going on the big gear. Also 3deg mast rake was shit need to lower it back down to 2.5deg you have to pump and bounce like an idiot to get it out of the water.
MobZ (3845km): Jimmy's beach, nsw. foil - fin. fun in the sun. JP SLW165, Ezzy Lion 6.5, SS Ghost 101. In wind barely enough, i flew half the time across the bay and back. Then the wind came up and it became a handful.
Tibor (18244km): Marmong Point, NSW, AU Not as strong as they have predicted but still a nice arvo with only the Àkos and l. |
