The highlight of the day was watching a kiter have his dreams of speed and playing with the big boys dashed by Remery. It started with Rob launching from The Hook and just chugging along. The kiter was a decent way uphill, appeared to spot Rob and then dropped the kite down hard into power mode. He turned downhill and lined Rob up for a high speed pass. The kiter was crouched and hanging on hard, blasting downhill as fast as he could go, getting ready to hand Rob a Participation Certificate as he went past.

Turns out Huey has a sense of humour and just as he was about to reach Rob, a gust came along and Rob was up and planing, still blithely unaware of the kite rapidly closing. And then the kite somehow snatched defeat from the jaws of victory. Rob accelerated and unceremoniously showed him the back door. The kite took up the challenge for about 5 seconds or so, but was so slow in comparison, it was all over bar the consumption of humble pie.

Shortly after, the kite bailed and headed up onto a reach, looking for all the world like he was never playing to start with. By now, Rob was right down the far end, probably still unaware of the lop sided drag race behind him. Pole Dancers: 1-nil.

Fangyland AtomicFangy 150l Avalon 7.0  FF proto23. Not quite enough puff for a bear-away with any conviction for my bulk of momentum muscle, but overall a really pleasant arvo on the water.

Patrik 100, NP RSR Evo-XV 6.5m, Nemesis 30cm.

After work session, Terry Cheryl and snides for company. Terry was testing new Weapons of Mass Distraction, very nice.

Snides was out reliving his glory days on Terry's kit, decided to do one more run just to humiliate me, which he did rather easily.

Tried working my way up wind a bit, didn't realy suceed all that well, sent it on a naughty which was looking the goods till I hit a hole and dropped down to 26 then another ath the end dropping down to 24.

Bit of fun sending it over the chop, getting good at doing it with my eyes squeezed shut, gunna have to invest in some Joo Janta 200 Super-Chromatic Peril Sensitive Sunglasses.

Nice evening on the water.

Fun session, wind was veryup and down, didn't come in as forecast, but I sought of rigged to the conditions, well for when it was gusting.

new 60cm board 6.2 koncept and 23@40-60 fin.

As I went out Anita was coming in to change down from her 7.0, (thinks she'd rigged for the lulls). First run was nicely powered, probably whyAnita was changing down. But after that it dropped off until the last 3/4 hr, when I had my best runs.

Not sure if I'm getting used to the chop, but it didn't seem as bad today, tide came in just as high, but it was lower to start with.

Coodanup, WA, AU CA63 LRB 5.6 Fangy 22/19 Sunny, nice tide light to moderate breeze. Way undercooked. Enjoyed the session with just soaking in the goodness of a day on the water with friends. Breeze started to pick up late in the afternoon as predicted. Water stayed fairly flat. Nice.
