KAR 6.3, JP102L + FF22
Another big crew out today.
Started earlyish with Flex to try & get some flat. Bit patchy at first but settled in nocely as the tide came in a bit, got about 115kms in the 1st session. Had a break & went out again for another 50ks before lunch, flats slowly disappearing. Should have changed down to the 5.7 at lunch but didn't & that part was not much fun but wanted the 200ks so plodded along until I got there.

Decrepit (55392km): ![]() Fun Fun Fun, on the water early enoug to get some smooth. wind a bit stronger than yesterday and water a tad lower. eventually went with the 60cm board 5.7 speed and 20cm deltoid. This combo worked well for me. The 48cm board with the 19cm fin may have been quicker, but harder to get going, and I wanted an easy day today. The 60cm board is designed for the flat, so that's where I stayed, afer a couple of trips throgh the chop, to get the longest bearaway at the Northern end.hh My best speeds were on port tack so didn't need to get so high anyway.
Just checked, that's my best alpha since November 2023, what was I doing in 24? No wonder my gybes are a bit rusty at the moment! |
