Tabou Manta 71, NP RSR Evo XV 7.4m, Elmo 42cm

Jeeze I'm a Gumby!!!!

Yesterday I didn't tighten the mast base correctly.

Today, tightended it properly, inserted and slammed mast base into mast extension with a nice sounding "click" as the locking mechanism engaged, unfortunately I had a lump of finger jammed in there as well.

I can tell you it's a little bit  tricky trying to get the locking mechanism disengaged and the mast base seperated from the extension with only one hand.

Also fingured out why my sail was feeling odd yesterday as I rigged it the same today.

Needing a boom length of 204cm I gave my 180 boom 14cm estension, took me two runs tonight before the math hit me upside of the head.

Other than that it was an OK session, I had a distinct lack of enthusiasm for going out but eventualy did, it was fun with some major light patchs, a few nice squirts here and there.

Starting to get my head around using pointers or at least not sucking as much using them.

Fun fun.

Coodanup, WA, AU CA63 LRB 5.6 td24 Sunny nice tide moderate breeze freshening late in the afternoon. Undercooked but enjoyed a cruisey sail with Gloria, Decrepit, Nauli and Damo.

Similar to yesterday, but not as much water so a bit flater, used the same gear, but with mast track a little further back.

Not sure if the wind was a bit stronger, or the water flater that's given me better speeds.
