That was fun!!! First Easterly sail in ages.

Obeyed the call from Waricle and arrived at Liptons to 17ave and 20kt gust.No smooth but not too much chop.

So I rigged the 6.2 koncept. 60cm board with 25cm 40/60 weedy.

Too late of course, should have been there by 0900, but didn't get there till 1100.

By the time I got in the water, wind had started to drop, and continued to slowly drop untill it suddenly almost stopped.

Fortunetely I've seen this behavious before from Easterlys, so I'd started making my way back to the launch, before it became too hard to grovel. But both Waricle and Basil were caught out.

I saw plenty of weed growing beneath the surface, so I think that's a good sign for spring?

Peel Inlet, WA, AU

Unexpected morning sail. Thanks for the heads up Peter.

Used my old Ka 5.8 complete with my dodgy repairs and dud zip. It held together. Would have used my new Moto but it has been sacrificed to the BBQ gods. Thanks heaps Rob!

A very pleasant easy sail with peter and Mike

JP SLW, NP RSR Evo X 7.8m, NP RSXMWS

Late start as feeling sorry for myself.

Wind when I got there, nice consistent wind when I left, the bit in between not so much.

A couple of lacklustre underpowered flights allowed me to see the smarter crew at Liptons killing it. Amazing how much differnce 3km distance makes.

Went home again to resume feeling sorry for myself.

Nice to see a few options for easterlies working other than Albany.  Quicker (and flatter) to get to Herron than Liptons for me though.

As you say, nice to have choices.
