20-28kts plus SSW Valentine, NSW, AU

 Sailed 12.30 - 1.45pm with breaks.

 Lumpy and plenty of ramps.

4.5m blade - 85ltre Wt waveboard- 20cms fin  one run

 then WT57 ( 90ltre) with 24cms Wt weedy

That's the most wind I've gone out in on the lake for a while. I knew I'd be overpowered as Lincoln was maxed on a 4.5 m- 80ltre waveboard and he weighs a bit more than me..

One run on the waveboard but I haven't sailed it in 2 years and it has a narrow tail and small fin so you can't put any weight on the rear. I was well overpowered and didn't trust myself not to forget , spin it out and crash. It was a cushier ride but I had a go on the 90 and felt much safer.

I'm used to it and I'm getting pretty good at finding a line through the ramps . I like the non cammed sails as you can depower if you want.

It was too rough for  great speeds but I had  plenty of brown pants bearaways crouched right down to avoid being thrown over the front by the strong stuff..

 Got my adrenaline quota.Tongue out

 I wore out pretty quickly.

I'm changing my feet as soon as I bear off to gybe now and flipping earlier. I got a few outside gybes and they felt much better.

I didn't attempt any on the inside as I was too powered up and enjoying bearaways.

Lincoln and I on fins plus the usual assorted wingers.

It had turned more S and looked a bit more sedate and regular as I left.

Wallis Lake, NSW, AU.  patrik 120, Ezzy Lion 6.5, 23 pepe delta. Slight power issues prevented it being a really good session, but it was good enough, went out and came back in one piece. Any session like that is better than no session.
Once out, discovered that Gabe and two mates were on smaller kit.
If there was more flat it might have been better but there wasnt due to direction and tide height.
Spinout. Tried to move mast base and found that chinook pin was unthreading itself again. Canned it based on that, as last time at Yamba i got out if it easy when the sail turned into a wing that way.
Found later that i had a flatted trailing edge on pepe fin, not sure how that happened, it wouldn’t have been helping.
Good to feel some mega power in gybes but i didn’t want to unthread the base again so canned it as i no one else out by then.
