Peel Inlet, WA, AU

Liptons / Wannanup.

Fanatic 89L, OD 6.0, FF24.

Bit of catapult action to start proceedings, much to the amusement of Pete and Rob hehe!

Got a few runs in with broken top batten before calling it.

An interesting sail at Liptons with Pete and Swampy. The first run across the boat channel was particularly sketchy as the sharp chop bounced my mast track all the way to the front of the box which engaged the spinout button. There was lots of flat and very shallow water at Point Grey but also big wind holes. Got stuck in the shallows and had to walk about 150m to find water deep enough to start.

The wind was stronger than predicted and the 7.8 was to much to handle. I switched to the 7 and jumped on Pete's board for a go but this did not end well. A sling shot did not go according to plan and over the bars l went and the mast cracked the nose of Pete's board.

Very nice sail this arvy with Matt Langer and Terry out in the lumpy goodness, managed to work my way upwind a bit before the breeze started shutting down.

Feel like the fitness is starting to improve.

Peel Inlet, WA, AU CA74 OD7.0 TD24 Sunny, nice tide and a moderate breeze suddenly becoming strong. Tried Robs 7.0 overdrive on my 124 and after a few runs in the kiddies pool decided to head across to Point Grey and the breeze suddenly becoming strong increased the chop bigtime. Pretty hairy on a big board and sail with a delta fin. I thought "and Elmo does this for fun?" I don't know how Rob hung on to his 7.8😳I had three spin outs just getting over the channel. We decided to go to liptons as the breeze is  a few knots stronger. I told Rob to try my big board with his sail and he got slammed by a huge gust bearing off down the run. Spectacularly. I decided to call it and Rob changed to his CA89 and carried on. Shane was doing well after a big off on his first run. Interesting afternoon.
