Fangyland super short session. Not a big window of opportunity for me today and as a result I only had one dedicated downhill run. I had a new small prototype fin to try out, so I had spent a bit of time seeing how hard, and when, I could go hard with the back leg. The fin was pretty well-behaved, but simply not big enough for me to fully use my momentum muscle. The downhill showed a bit of promise, so I think with a bit more finessing this one could be a keeper for the shallow and windy days.

Another great day on the water. The Shroom and l had Coods to ourselves for about an hour. Happy days. Nice flats up the top on the low tide.  As the tide came in the inside line from the dead trees down was a joy.

Patrik 100, NP RSR Evo-XV 6.5, Tribal delta 22cm.

Liptons, wind didn't look all that consistant so went with the bigger board.

Sailed over to Pt Grey which wasn't to bad over there, came back did two runs into kiddies corner, thought "meh", went back to PG, went faster, spent the rest of the session over there, till it started lulling out, so came back, tried again KC still Meh so decided to flag it as I'd had some fun.

Slugga, hope your back feels better tomorow.

Condolences to Bob who will have to lay to rest his beloved Carbon Art.

Thoughts out to Hardz who is doing it a bit rough at the moment.

Liptons again, but a tad deeper today so more chop, and no sun so no oil from the weed, not that there would have been any wind on it anyway, but a distinct lack of smoooth.

Same rig as yesterday, 48cm board, 5.2 speed with 20cm@40/60 fin.

Wind was very gusty, made it hard for me to start. holes kept appearing just as I was about to get up, dropping me back in it.

Very nice to be on the small gear though, Liptons is better for the speed board, I don't get the footstraps incased in weed like at Fangys.

More out today, Ant and I certainly didn't have it to ourselves. the word must have spread.

It will be interesting to see the results from the big guns.

So begins my 81 year old campaign.

Fingers 4, Tibor 1, Decrep 1

Guess I have some work to do.

Coodanup, WA, AU CA63 LSB 5.8 ANW Hazy and overcast, cool and just about perfect tide. Breeze was fresh with the odd strong gust. Sailed with Gloria, BBFBasil, Nauli, Richo, Rob and the Shroom Ben and Fangy . Got the speed board out ready to go but was having too much fun on the. 63 wide. Tried a gybe and pubicly humiliated myself again. Maree having a rest day.

Liptons, WA, AU

Not my best day, did a few runs across the channel till my girly arms said no. I then just played in the kiddy pool which wasn't doing it for me fun wise, short runs just chasing speed and if I shat a corner I was stuck in the weed. After the Pommy Chippy went splat I thought bugger it that'll do me.

Afterwards I realised my favourite mistress of 9 years now has a badly delaminated bottom so she's off to the pool room.

Dead CA SL87, 27 TWS, 5.7 KA Race and boardies of course.

Yikes not good Slugger. Hope all body required parts are functioning okay and Captain Nurofen can do the rest.

Nice session there Rob! Big right across the tally board.

Is it a bird, is it a plane, no it's F'n flying Shagga. That was the biggest get off I have seen in a long time, Simon was dead set flying like a bird but I knew the crash landing on his gear was not going to be good, gave me a fright. So far in the splat Olympics my score is Shagga 1st, Fang 2nd and the reigning champ Elmo a distant 3rd.

Yes gust hitting as you take foot out of strap is not nice!!!! Happens so quick there's nothing you can do except fly through the air as gracefully as you can.

Hope it gets better quick Simon!
