Patrik 100, NP RSR Evo-XV 6.5m, Nemesis 30cm

After sacrificing Bob and Anne to the wind gods, I made one change to set up as there was LOTS of lumpy goodness out there today with going to a raked fin rather than a pointer.

Bob was ripping along out there, banging out some great runs. Annie went the full "Tim the toolman" today rigging the 6m (Bob was on a 5.7) impressively she still banged out her goto speed of 22knots in the chop.

First run, very front hand heavy as the harness lines were set up for an underpowered 7.4m, still first run was out past the platform.

At the end I'd done three runs out past the platform, the last was starting to lose grip strength so decided that was it.

Lots of lumpy goodness, from just over ankle high to around waist high. One sketchy moment on a return leg when got a bit of air after hitting a sizable bit of chop then a harse landing into the next one unbeknownst to me whilst airbourne was that I'd some how unhooked, so when I hit the next piece of chop harsely I went the full arse into heels squat and somehow managed to stay hanging onto the boom. So there you go, I can kick my own arse.

Legs were feeling the workout after.

Awesome thing to watch was Lee the Kitesurfer standing around in the water have two dolphins go cruising past him about 1m away in knee deep water as casual as can be , lucky basketCool

Good times

Another not so flat Fangy day, water was  just a bit too high.

Went with the 60cm board and 5.7 with the 23@40/60.'First run was the fastest then the wind seemed to slowly drop off.

My remaining boom unit has a rapidly failing battery, so I experimented with a couple of alternatives.

here's the results.

I'm happy with this

The last one is the head unit I post from, the first one is an armband I used efore the watch appeared and the armban died. I tried an older armband today, but that leaked a little water, so this one is out.

The middle one is really ancient with very old firmware, I tried it out in an old phone armband made for small phones, nothing big fits in it.

I think I'll work on this, the old phone armband is comfortable and doesn't slip.

I was loving the runs down through the swells, the old board was good as gold, must be it's weight, but my arms were screaming at me so I called it early. I've gone to longer harness lines, no idea why I'm having so much trouble, it's giving me the poops, I think I'll go back to what I had before and see.

All said and done, I really enjoy Elmo's lumpy goodness, 30 feels like 40 and that's all that matters.

Great to catch up with all the happy Novara crew, slappers, wings, windfoils, kites and a couple of dolphins Cool

Hallelulia!!! My DIY  GPS which was RIP is RIZ.!!!

Worked perfectly today once it had found satelites.

I have been spoiled for the last 12 months or so. Real world conditions prevailed today. Rough as bags for this spoiled brat with no smooth to be had.

Good wind and good company .

thanks for the grapes Anita . Perfect apre sailing snack.

Coodanup, W.A. AU CA66 LSB 6.3 TD 24 Manual download from boom mount logger. Had one run out, came in and changed the fin and went out but my knee refused to co operate so called it. Otherwise an enjoyable afternoon. Sunny, windy and just a bit choppy with a good bunch out sending it.
