Budgewoi Lake, NSW, AU. CA92, KArace 6.3, kestrel 18. Since I was out of rookie division now I thought I'd uninstall the speed limiter today but it still wouldn't go over 33kts. Cheap watch must be stuck. At first, the flat acres had me a little disorientated. Confidence came quick though to send through weed berg city. It took some adjusting of things but the kit felt pretty good in the end.

Budgewoi, NSW, AU.

CA103, Nuclear 18.5 and Duotone Warp 6.8

Westerly 3-25 Kts

Started off super light and gradually increased until fully powered on the 6.8.

This is by far the best I have seen Budgie in the last five years. With light wind half of the entire area was glass. Even when it picked up to 25kts there was an area perhaps 400m by 400m which was almost glass flat.

5-15kts WNW then 15-24kts W Budgewoi Lake, NSW, AU - level 0.25 - 0.32m

6.2m OD - RS4 ( 111ltres) - 21.5cms FF ( cutdown 24)

 then 6.2m OD - RS2 ( 90ltres) - 22cma Atomic few runs

 then 5.5m Mach2 - Rs1 ( 80ltres) - 16.5cms FF ( cutdown 22cm)

zzzz

I wanted to get out before it came in to suss out the safety side- depth - weed etc.. had a pleaseant plod for 30mins. You could see the W on the way where the cloud ended so I went back out for a short squirt on the 90ltre. Got in just as it hit..couldn't line up a decent angle for the gusts 29kts..

Started to rig the 5m Mach2 on the 80ltre but the batten was loose. Had it rigged and realised the string that wraps around the batten end had come off..Yell It's a crap job.. I unrigged and spentr 1hr trying to get it fixed. I got it on one side but not the other. I almost spat the dummy , packed up my toys and went home but decided to risk the 5.5m.

I thought I'd be underdone but it was perfect! Bit scary in the strongest stuff. It's a lot easier starting when you can waterstart straight in the straps..Undecided

I had some brilliant runs in the flats. That combo is so much fun!

Happy with the 2sec especially with 100m on 33kts..

Stayed out for a while and then had 2 slow catapults. The 1st I snagged weed.. landed in the sail and my knee crashed into the board.. The 2nd one was another slow one intoo shallow . Really crashed my knee into the board and took a while to get the harness lines out..

Ok. Time to go in..I was getting really cold and tired . Ended up walking through thigh deep weed for the last bit..zzz

Cripes there are some deadheads on the road.

We have 3.3kms of 25-45 bends down to a creek and up.

I had some f...t 1car length behind me , then he was straddling the centre line ,and finally driving in the right lane on blind bends..I pulled over as soon as I could to let him go past and he almost took out an oncoming car..Yell

Andrew and I then quite a few others. Mobsy , Mitch , Mike  etc zzz

Smashing it, Dave Congrats on you PB! Cool

Awesome speed Andrew, Greg, Bruce and Sue!

You have more energy than me Sue, way too many setups, I am too lazy, just rig once and suffer. Laughing

Thanks everyone. Hi Grassy. It was smooth like on a foil. If it’s not speed dingers I’m chasing it’s everyone else on fin 😳 speed is so elusive. Having fun seeking it.
