15-25kts plus SSW - S level 0.38-0.42m

5m mach2 - RS1 ( 80ltre) - 18.5cms Atomic

 Sailed 11.20am to 1pm

Well that was a record 4 waterstarts in the channel. 2 due to sinking with not enough wind on the way out then 2 from spinning out overpowered in big chop coming back. I thought I had the 20cms Atomic on and it's rock solid in chop. If I'd known it was the smaller fin I would have eased off a bit.Undecided

I was buggered after 2 kms.

I put the fleecelined rashie on under the 3mm wettie and I was worried I'd be hot. I fell in 100m across the channel and was glad I had it on! brr

With the channel , at least you know, worst case scenario is you'll just wash ashore. Undecided

I got the 2 sec on the 1st run and thought ' boy this could be a good session!' Tongue out

Nah .. Some strong wind but I couldn't find much flatwater, and any that was, I didn't score the strongest stuff in.

Pity it wasn't flat like the last W or the speeds would have been epic!

Could have been on the 90ltre for the first half of the session. The gusts were good but there were a lot of lulls where it was tiring trying to start the smaller gear.

Fun trying..Tongue out I ran out of puff as it really kicked in.

Cripes the guys looked fast! there should be some good scores tonight.

I went pretty low to get a run back and waited for a decent gust hoping to get s good speed in the flatter water. Of course it didn't happen but I scored some really overpowering wind in the channel which had large chop. Undecided At least i could JUST touch the bottom after I spunout which made it easier to empty the heavy sail and get the sunken sail off the bottom to start.

ZZZ

I'm hoping for some more moderate S tomorrow so I can practise gybes. Cross fingers.

Just me , then Andrew , then Byron and Mitch. Matt and greg F were launching as I left.
