6.5m Turbo - WT64 ( 112ltres) 1 run then
2nd go on the CA95 with a 20cms Atomic
It looked ok in the am but I waited around and it died. Went out on the big board for 1 run. My RS4 is in getting regripped.
I haven't used the Wt's much in flatwater. They ride pretty high nose wise so it was a bit scary the one run I did. 23.4kts.
Mike arrived and it came in so I put the 6.5m on the 95ltre. I usually run a 22cma on my other 90. I had a 16.5cms in it but figured I'd need to be able to point and could keep out deeper so tried the 20cm.
It worked well although I was careful. I didn't go right down low though.
Enjoyed trying some gybes on it. None as good as the 1st one I'd done.. . I usually don't try gybes in a W when I'm really powered as I've had some bad stacks in the past.
I went for one and I think the rig got ripped out of my hands in a gust and I got spat out the side.
I 've been slack. the footstraps were miles too big and I hadn't bothered to adjust them. It took a while for my rear foot to come out and it was twisted. I slammed my left wrist into the bottom ( memories of LG ) and was worried I'd sprained it. I lost a lens out of my polaroid sunnies in the stack.
Not too bad now ( phew). I made the straps smaller but they are still a bit big. The stance is too wide for me too but I'll have to live with it..
After that I played it safe and just turned the board. I couldn't really score the strongest stuff in the flatwater.
I got one run which gave me the easy 2 sec.
Mike & I from Peely. Byron and Greg from Buff.
