LG- Fun session with Jamie and Craig, light wind 11-15knts. Water was flat, some glossy patches behing the island

We sailed from the split, got away with the 6.2 and 21 fin, no planning jibe.. better that not sailing Wink

Much windier than it looked from the beach. Fully lit to overpowered on a 6.2 with some really nasty wind swell coming through. Had a holy shitee moment when a dolpin with malfunctioning sonar decided to surface, check periscope and roll 5 metres directly ahead of the nose of my board as I'm bearing down at 30knots. Luckily an instant bear away avoided a plate full of sushi.

Liptons.

Short session as not been feeling 100% , was an eye opening session though lots of crew down! Got there late about 415 but was plenty of wind left to catch

Rigged the 6.2 Reflex 5, isonic 87 2014, vector speed weed 27.

Took a while to get used to speed sailing again and the vector speed weed was pretty sweet, could probably do with a bit more locked in power but it was definitely firing ! To be honest i was feeling a bit underdone when i really needed it, and wasnt sailing as far upwind to the point as it was a bit shallow for my 27 , most the other crew on 23 fins.

Looks like the other SRM were also cranking today! not bad for a hardcore orientated slalom board i reckon :)

Great sail at Liptons - took a while to get my s#*! together after [brand new] faulty boom clips that had the thing telescoping 2 to 4cm when fully loaded and a consequent ripped sail. Fixed all that and got into it.

RSR E4 6.4, Mistral 47, mXr 22cm UFO 40 - learned alot about setting up the M47 today.

Great crowd and some great PBs going around!

Liptons... now I remember it from 10 years ago, but the tide was so low that day it was impossible to get into where we were today.

Heaps of people out having fun. Lots of PBs. I can see why now. Its so ridiculously flat compared to the other places I normally sail.

Spent most of the time coming in high and hugging the shore and getting the short gusts there, but found out stroppo's magic patch right at the end as the wind dropped out. Much longer run, and the gust on the shore ends up the afterburner in dead flat water. Got my fastest peak there... so it will have to wait for next time. Saw a couple of sharks out there- one of them jumped out of the water and was as long as my board. The other was only little (5 feet long) but I missed it by the smallest of margins... that was just on sunset as the wind was getting patchy so decided to call it quits.

6.4m Mistral SL91 Tribal speed23, and then M SP47 with CL24weed later. 4/5 fastest runs were on the slalom board but thats when the wind was at its best. It got gusty at the end but I did find one run for my fastest 10sec on the speed board, along with fastest peak.

Didnt try any alphas deliberately so a bit of a surprise seeing that result. That was at the end in stoppo land.

Well done on the PBs everyone.

Darryl Page managed to push the Mistral 112 with a 33cm tribal weed fin to 42.4kts today. Funny stuff! And a PB for him I think :)

Highlight of the day was seeing strop trying to drain the estuary by creating a massive spray ball.

This place aint melville!

Home at last!

what a magic arvo at Liptons and what a difference a consistent 25knots makes.

the session started out with a bit of a false start when i got about half way out to the channel markers and

realised i was missing a vital piece of kit...my harness!..dohh..

after a pb breaking run on the 3rd run i realised an assault on the 2 sec and 10 sec cat was on the cards..

ended up concentrating on these and forsake the temptation for alphas and miles.

ended up nailing several 40s and a couple of 41's happy that the 10 sec ave stayed resonably high.

lots of smiling faces and woops going down with lots of crew today-fantastic vibe on and off the water.

mistral 47/e5 5.8/clockwood weed 23

would love to see 30knots of wind here and the chance to get on the real speed kit.

was enjoying the session so much i didnt want to waste time rigging smaller and plugging in the speed 41.

well done to all the pb'ers today.

Peel inlet, Liptons, nicely powered up for a change unfortunately my gps froze halfway through the

session but happy to get some results, thanks to Slowy for advice on how to disconnect battery

and get gps going again,

Well done Isaac and Snides, it was great to share the experience with you.

Condolences to Claude who sailed brilliantly as always but somehow lost all his data. We know you were smoking out there and probably blew everyone else away for distance! You certainly get todays "fastest rigging" award.

Swan River Mob, some great PB's and high numbers on the board guys. Well done!

Chris, I saw one of those sharks too. Just after the sun went down - upwind of the red marker. Great incentive not to fall off!

Based on practical experience I wouldn't be stopping out near the chanel in the day or night.

There were a lot of people stopping where we got ambushed a few years back.
