Melville, Modified Screamer, NP V8 6.5m2.

Had a great first 20 minutes, then wind dropped and I'm sailing a semi-sinker - oops!!  We need a new category - time spent trying to water start.  I reckon 15 minutes out of the hour.  Despite setbacks, can only say that grovelling around Melville water still beats workin'!!!!.

Made the most of another fiction forecast from the bureau. Almost got a good hour before being becalmed 2 mins from the end and ended up at Majestics. Naughty mile was just before the wind died and contained the peak speed, not bad for mid river. Slogged for a while and finally caught a bit of wind to avoid the walk of shame.

Good to meet Dolph and see Pointman and Birdman out.

Venom was rock solid in very choppy conditions.

Warp 6.3, Sonic100, 38cm venom.

Just for you Mineral, my squiggly lines.

Windxtasy, went out at 3.40.

Typical winter skunking at Melville.

Got down there @ 4 and it was honking, gusting to 25K+.

Went with the Futura 111 + 7.0 TR5 + 36 Goldwing.  One decent powered up run for a near-30 peak.  Apart from that it was an exercise in trying to stay afloat.

It's testament to the power of windsurfing that I still drove home in a good mood, and the kids usual infuriating antics at dinner made me smile rather than yell in frustration.

Props to Mark for an impressive recovery from what was shaping up as an epic walk of shame...he was down by Majestic when I arrived, but put the elusive gusts to good use and made it back upwind in fine style Cool

Good to meet new team member Dolph.  The Pinna family continues to expand.

What time did you go Mark, and where did you start from?

Didn't you go out Obelix? The wind reports from Ocean Reef looked awesome!

There was so little wind here I did gardening this morning. By the time the wind came in here ~ 1.30 it was too late for me unfortunately.

Your "Time out" must be almost up Mineral... when are you back on the water?

It was all over the place all morning. I had a freezing diving session on Tuesday and still feel cold so I chickened out. Ocean Reef was too much for me. Maybe with Greg's board...

I'm envious now...

Mineral, you've done enough busting things while sailing! Smile  Take it easy!

Any sailing will be exciting after such a long hiatus.

Fingers crossed for some wind for you.
