Nice day on the water with the normal reprobates, didn’t get the chance but happy birthday ricey hope I’m still sailing at your age👍Mainly doing alphas today putting into practice the wise words of Woody the alpha king, hmmm now for some flat water to see how much we can get the alpha up to😜🤞

Arrived when not too windy, rigged a 6m, very quickly overpowered, changed to 5m, only lasted a short while as wind kept increasing. Time for old chook like me to bow out before another injury. However Anita and the boys were absolutely blasting! Boz your gybes are a pleasure to watch.
Most importantly Happy Birthday Ricey! 🎂🎉🥂

Fun little sail and plenty of power on the 6.3 SCR, 49 iSonic, 20 weed speed.

Choppy for coods which meant being able to use a proper fin for once which was enjoyable on the falcon 56 Evo12 5.8 WS24. Tried the FMX 52 but
it didn't like the chop as much as the falcon. There was a 2 knot 2sec difference between the tribal delta in chop vs the tribal wp 24. Good to sail with the usual crew.

454 days ago Coodanup 20 - 22 kn ave with stronger gusts
Mistral 73, 6.2 then 5 m Koncept, 20 FF
A frustrating session today - rigged big cos the wind was only 16 - 18 when I arrived with 12 - 14 kn lulls, but the wind quickly built, and by the time I was ready to hit the water 6.2 was too much.I still gave it a go, but it was too much in the gusts. Top speed 28 kn with the 6.2.
Came in and changed down to the 5 m.Wind 20 - 24 by this stage. Much more comfortable. First run 31kn. second run 32 kn - doh! left the outhaul on, should be able to get a 34 with the outhaul let off... you would think. NO such luck. Could not exceed 32 kn again with or with out out haul. Admittedly I was a bit too scared to really send it downwind through the chop.
Good to catch up with Ricey the birthday boy, who put in a grand effort for an 80 year old. Happy Birthday Ricey! Sorry you didn't get the 30 kn you were after. Speed was tricky today. You did well to keep going in that very strong wind.
Also good to catch up with Kai, Ant, Boz the turner and Gloria, Kevin, Jay and Grant.

Tried 6.5, then 5.8 and finally 5.0 sails. Tried speed board but could not handle it so went to 90 RRD which was great, finally.
My 80th birthday and enjoyed good company including Anita, Kevin, Gloria and Grant. Sorry to hear about your stack, Jay, hope you recover quickly.

Made the wrong call today. I didn't think the breeze would get that strong, and I also didn't think it would make it in to the Peel in any force, so I only packed foiling kit when I left for work.
Got to Foilville just after 4 and it was nuking on the Swan, with gusts to 30K. Rigged the smallest combo I had...FTY + 550 wing + 5.0 Blacktip.
Rough as guts in the middle, with windswell a metre high (using every bit of my 95cm foil mast to clear the waves). I thought if I headed upwind to Melville it might be kinda fun in the flatter water but the bullets were brutal, so even without the 1m windswell it was impossible to get settled.
Not enjoyable in the slightest, so I didn't stick around.
Next time I'll throw in the slapping kit also, Coods woulda been a much better option.
