Peter Daish (26108km): Hindmarsh Island, SA, AU murry mouth, nothing special as tide was rushing in On sw wind 15 to 22 I guess, tried lots of fins with the 95 speed board and my new mark 2 carbon tribal with the 113L board. 7.0 R8, bummpy today not enjoyable just training
Bushman Bogan (1340km): Nice little sail off Cockys, wind picked up so stoked to get more PB. 7m OD, futura107, superweed25
Captain bogan (50629km): Boggy lake - 20 to 25 with a few stronger gusts. Arvo sesh on the way home to wash the gear and have a quick sesh with Full Bogan. What a week it has been off grid at the spit camping with Sam - so much fun . Arrived home to check weight and down to 71.8 a pb - whoa - after all the eating and drinking i was pretty happy . The wind was firing, heaps of crew out mainly on 6.2 / 3's so i went with the Patrik 87 / 2020 ka race 6.3 sail and Tribal weedspeed 29. Off we went into the heavy duty chop and the combo felt great. Headed straight up the top and squirted off the wind to see 35.92 on the screen. Only a 34.55 2 second but pretty happy after being in the glass the last 3 weeks at LG. I am sure if we had the same wind at LG would have been 40's but awesome to be sailing in fresh water and a nice rigging area for a change lol. Back to work Tuesday so the end of the fun is approaching - maybe a sesh Monday...

Trousers (14352km): el Bog, gusting wsw to high twenties. Falcon 79l/6.2 Mach1/ BP 325 Sabre. Very lumpy and overcooked in the gusts, I should have gone a smaller fin. Even up the reed bank, it was angry - and if there was a flat spot on the lake, I never found it.
Sammy (43237km): Last day sail for our trip. Sailed Boggy to wash our gear. Great fun trip. Cheers Carl. |
