Scope (2305km): CA SP50 7.0 Overdrive C3 Slingshot 23 Happy I stuck with the 7.0, 25-30 knots of wind. Wind was more SE that last night meaning the fast water was heading towards the Kiters. They don't look, jump randomly and haven't got a clue about basic port starboard stuff, made for some interesting downwinders. Stoked with the PB, particularly that one, in those conditions. Slingshot was solid. Should have some good vid
Mike Sinclair (24957km): Harbour early but too rough to go fast so off to the pond. Good NE just like the old days, 25 kts and plenty of grunt in it. SL58 and 5.9 then to 46cm speedy/5.9 when the tide went out. Kites all over the place , could have gone fast if you didn't have some idiot jump in front of you nearly every run, spooky. Didn't clobber any but getting close, they definitely ain't sailing so I guess that's why they know nothing about sailing rules.
Shane Blake (543km): Mike loading for Shane. Shane, your meter is set wrong , somebody has been playing and it's not reading at 1 second setting. You probably did 35 but in a string of 4 or 6 seconds so the analysis filters chop it out. Have to reset it for you.
Allan Taylor (2665km): Nth warp 5.8 , falcon 79, c3 26 venom-----WHERE IS MY SLINGSHOT______Rig felt like shit , wrong mast lots of spin out , soo much weed ...
Dan (48719km): Isonic 44, overdrive 6.0, C3 venom 26. Slowly getting dailed in. Mite be just a matter of more down haul. Top effort by the team
Terry A (20040km): Harbour 5.9 TR5 CA 58 34 Venom wound to bits lucky it was top of the tide and flatish. sailed for the hour under 20 Then off to the eastuary. same rig and board thought I would try a sting 32. Went for another hour and surprise a PB. Later tried the CA 52 and slingshot 21 never really got going as too rough top speed was here. Off to L Clearwater tomorrow maybe some deasent speed |
