What a day..almost perfection bar the water wasnt as smooth as usual. Perhaps because its a little higher which is good for better weed fins of course. A nice little sail till about 12.45 with my old 58wide 7m sail and 25cm weedie. So, just as l was about to come in for a little break {after a couple of hours sailing} came a nice gust and l thought at last a good gust but my happiness didnt last long..Catapulted, fell on the boom nice and hard which in turn has broken the mast and nearly my windpipe { better than my ribs} . Bugger..bugger..So, drifted out to the shore and did the kokoda trail by walking back a couple of kms with my gear on my shoulder. What a b..shame. Just when the wind came in better and better and l am sure it was a day for new records. Thats why l put my results up first. From here everybodies will be higher and higher..Good luck to them
and thanks to Johnny for giving me moral support...

2835 days ago Budgewoi Lake, NSW, AU. CA 96 + 7.0 Naish GP then Fanatic 87 5.6 Hucker then CA 44 speed + 5.6 Hucker. Massive day of sailing. Finally got to try the speed board. Looking forward to using it with a cammed sail and flatter water. Choppiest I have ever seen Budgewoi but still heaps of fun. Plenty out, heaps of faces I have never seen before. Heaps of people crashing and plenty of spin outs. Love Budgewoi when it's blowing. Absolutely knackered.

isonic 101 hsm 6m 20 krestrel
got there late enough for the wind to kick in
plenty of power in the 6m but it was super choppy
i pushed as hard as i dared today but the chop and the krestrel
made me a bit warry so played it a bit safe
found out today that the isonic mixed with chop and a fin that has minimal lift plus
speed gives the old knee reco a work out iceing it down now hoping to play again tomorrow

Mistral Speed 95 and Maui TRX 6.3, then F2 speed board with 6.3 and then with 5.5m.
The lake level was well above normal which made for choppy/tricky conditions, never really felt comfortable today.

epic arvo, 30+ knots. I thought I might get the prize for the best stack but Goeorgio had a really nasty one so IU am not sure. CASP44, 5.5, 23 fin.
Board was great but the sail just too big.

Falcon 90 R4 7.0 and a home made 40 degree 21 cm weedie.
That was some balls out sailing I saw today. Everyone was smashing it considering the conditions and I do mean everyone. I don't want to dwell on what could have been if the lake had been lower instead I'll appreciate it for what it was, some next level sailing in tough conditions by a bunch of people who are very skillful and fearless to the point of disaster. Really exciting and stuff and plenty of brown trousers moments as well.
The mental bearaways people were doing in a huge breeze and no flat water was an awesome sight. Everyone was really pushing themselves it was great to watch. I started out with a 7.0 which was ok for a while but soon became a real handful. some of the gusts were slapping me around like a red headed stepchild but actually the sailing was not to hard it was beach starting and stopping to turn the rig around that was sapping my strengh.
I think I might have got one of the last good gusts before it got even more choppy. By then I was out of gas so I headed in but instead of calling it I rigged up the 6.7 OD and dusted off the JP 56 wide. The 6.7 was a bad call lol. It didn't drop off it bloody kicked in and hard. I was even more shitfaced than before I changed down. I didn't care I could smell a 39 so I soldiered on but I was just to tired and it was a bit too choppy. I was utterly shagged by the time I hit the beach.
even though I beat my pb slightly the hightlight for me today was a couple of full monty weightless laydowns I pulled off. For me it's my favourite rush in windsurfing to hear that high pitched slicing sound as the rail really bites and feel that rig go weigthless and gently flip around like a wavesail.
Bruce I saw your stack it was definately the winner today. You threw up spray that flew downwind for a good fifty feet it looked awesome. I saw the other one as well I don't know how anyone can hit the water that hard and still be conscious lol.
A tough but epic day I loved it.

6.6m KA Koncept 79ltre falcon 19cm delta then 1 run 28cm maui ultra weedy
5m OD 50ltre isonic speed board 19cm delta
Tired from underpowered sail yesterday so a late start at 11am. Rigged the Koncept for the first time. Not a good test as the delta was spinout city and I was sailing like a sack of spuds. Hated the combo.
Came in and put the 28cm on.Held great going over to the flats but got hit by a mega gust once there.Spume flying off the top of the water..Decided a run back with my tail between my legs would be wise.
Weird..Overpowered but going nowhere due to a bucketload of weed on the fin.
Wind really kicked in so speedboard and 5 m.Worried how I'd go as I haven't sailed it much but great! Much easier to get going with decent wind and delta held well. Fun! Even got about 4 gybes until I started to wear out.I need to work on my fitness..
Problem with the boom cam not popping on the bearaway side which made it even more tiring. I had to kick it while waterstarting then get going with a gutless sail and it would pop 300m on..
It worked on the land but I dropped the boom to the bottom of the cutout when I was out there so I wonder if that caused issues?
Got overconfident and went for an overpowered gybe ..did a torpedo dive over the front ( not a catapult) .I had my eyes open and went about 4 ft under and was looking at the weeds coming out of the sand would have been good on video..Hit my knee on the way through and very painful but ok now.
Enjoying myself but very tired and an accident waiting to happen so first time ever just went above the point and drifted in..Took forever.. but safe..
Got to try and find a fin that makes the chop enjoyable..
Good to see Mark & Maree and Chris and Gabe glad they got some wind.
