I chose badly.

I decided that there was no way the wind was going to kick in, as it was a sunny day at the start of the long weekend, so I rigged the Formula board with my 10.8 and went for a sail. The white caps started increasing and by the time I was getting over powered there was probably gusts to 22ish, maybe more, I can't tell these days. Pretty solid white caps across Pittwater as the sou'easter funneled down the bay. I had to stick my board through the boom to hold the sail down once I was on the beach. I hope my punter team mate was able to make use of the breeze.

Hi Geoff,

I did not go sailing on Saturday. I went down to Pittwater around 3pm. It was getting late and cold. No one was windsurfing at the Palm Beach Reserve. I went to what I think is Sand Point, off Iluka Road. I didn't see anyone there either. It was a fairly strong southerly. What time and place did you sail?
