Mineral (4665km): Took a chance on Mandurah being better than Lucky Bay, Cold, gusty, but any day on water beats a non water day, Jayzuss, my arms are a tad tin fruited. 7.4 on 110 JP X-cite, 36 JP weed fin. Over powered to crap at times. packed it in a 3.30, couldn't go another Km. Wind died at 4 pm. Thanks for crew backing session
lao shi (41082km): Was ready for a big day today but it never happened. On the water by 9 and sailed the first hour with the 7.6. 20 miles clocked up. Started to get a bit blowy toward the end so came in and rigged the 6.6. Wind dropped and was full of holes until two thirty when it died completely. Lucky bay KA KRX 7.6, Koncept 6.6. *brd W58, 34cm Slowy got a couple of smoking runs super broad in the afternoon and good to see John Koch on the slalom gear going well. Lots of other crew out.
Chris Porter (11725km): It was the best of sails, it was the worst of sails... Started at Majestic Pt, wind looking marginal. Luckily the wind kicked in quite well in the 30 minutes it took to fit the new fin to the board. Met snides, and had a quick chat and sail. The new Slowie weapon of a fin rocks! Despite the wind being poor, I managed to cruise around, point as high as I liked, and float over the rediculous boat wake. The max speed was in a plain reach during an 18 knot gust. Things went a bit wrong when I decided to sail down to Lucky Bay for some flatter water. The wind totally crapped out when I was in the geographical centre of the swan ocean. Not a breath. Started paddling... took tiny breaths of wind to get up and slog it home. Can't uphaul on a 214cm board with a 6.6 on it!!! Looking forward to another go on these fins when there's some wind!!!
