Travelled up to Port sorell today, 6 hour round trip. There was heaps of wind, I think a 50 knot squall came through. Unfortunately wrong direction. When it finally swung NW I only had a couple of good runs along the sandbar then the tide came over. Used Isonic 50 with stock 23cm Drake fin and SSR 4.6.

Gutsy effort Perks, Steve I hope the 3 hr drive paid off. I noticed the airport 10 kms away reported solid 29 kts for over 3 hrs and gusting to 50 kts right on low tide.

Bad luck with the crash Perks, pretty good first run though.  Spoke with Steve and he said it was pretty tough with the direction and the tide.  Gale Warning has now been upgraded to a Storm Warning, so I'm planning to come up.  Hope you'll be OK for another go tomorrow !!!
