Regarding Hardie,

I caught up with him as he was de rigging and I've got to tell you my stomach is still feeling queezy after listening to him describe the accident and seeing the damage to the board.

We all came seriously came close to loosing a good mate tonight.

The rock actually impacted up near the front of the board and damaged down to around the front footstrap, the fin is gone the fin box is a mess.

When he stood up he was in less than knee deep water, thankfully it was water you landed in not more rocks.

Miraculously the big fella hasn't a mark on him aprt from a 12" wide skid mark running down both legs. So Hardie don't waste your money with lottery tickets you've used up all your luck and a few other peoples dodging that bullet.

What with Robin still of the water from her accident I think we all need to take a bit of a step back as Yoyo puts it and look at our priorities and apply a bit of comon sense to the lines we take.

cheers all,I could see 40 but it was always 100m in front and behind me-doh.the new fin 29 helped heaps to go quicker undercontrol,well most of the time,already had the 600 wet'n'dry in the car Elmo,-had a nice stack just down wind of slowy.just another Craw gumby moment.Hardy glad your alright and still mobile,had a few moments the last few days myself ,bugger about the gear tho-ouch!

Crasher I'm a total fuckwit, but I'm alive to tell the story of my shame, and walkin around on my 2 ugly feet, feels pretty good I can tell ya........with what might have been. However I do feel I did let the team and yourself (leaving me the gear) down a bit, thank god for Adam and The Craw.  I just wanted it too bad, took a stupid risk to get it, and discovered a very dangerous ROCK, I aint goin near that place again, unless their is a full tide.  I'm going to have to reassess my obsession about this 40kts thing.  Maybe I'm gonna be happy being in the 39kt club, alive and not in an electric wheelchair!!!!!
