Forgot Gt31 Used the GT11 I leave in the car. Didn't really get too windy. Pt Walter. Stopped early as broke a batten. No good opportunity to go for hour or Nmile. Good to see Troppo out backing up FNQ and Nic pulling wheelies on his CA44 Koncept 5.8, JP84, 29cm weed

Solid hit out at Woodies in 15-23K.  Might've been the occasional 24-25K gust, but they were mostly on the way out!

CA47 + 6.6 Koncept + C3 Venom 30.

Good combo.  Still dialling in the CA...second sesh today.  Buggered if I could gybe it in the rough stuff...Bit like trying to gybe a water ski!  When I beared away it would take off downhill like a scalded cat and I'd be standing on the tail trying to steer it round...fell off the back a few times like that.  Bit easier in the flats, but then I had trouble keeping it on the plane.

Pleased with these speeds in the conditions.  And buggerall kiters so I mostly had the strip to myself.  Damn it's good to get a fix Tongue outLaughingCool

short sharp sail - 20 days between sails !

Couldnt get out until late so went for the safe option of an ocean sail, Mettams to Sorrento. Great fun. GT11 lost the first 5 minutes of the sail, I didnt have time to reboot it before starting. (it wouldnt make much difference anyway ;-) )

Quick session at Melville with Marcel. Wind crapped out as I got there. Went for a cruise up to PW and ended up swimming for a bit in the protected bits behind the hill.

Should have gone to Peli.

Thanks Chris Not a real one as it was only a 23.35 doppler vs a PB of 23.77 doppler but I will play the game.

Sorry I didn't hang around Snake. Shame it didn't last. Might change the alpha to doppler if it doesnt count.

No problems Lao, Nice work on the gybe! I was just being stubborn and desperate staying otu that late!

Also have a question guys, I recently got the GTC version of realspeed and when deleting slow points it now has the threshold set to < 7 knots. This does have quite an effect on the data, and was wondering what most ppl have this set to? as with previous versions (configurations) of the software it was set to 5kn. It appears that the other changes to settings however, have no notable effect.

What data? Distance? Are you using total doppler distance? That is what Nebbs suggests.

The data affected was alpha, hour and distance. Probably wouldn't matter for better alphas where minimum speeds are higher, but certainly for distance and hour there are differences of ~2kn and ~0.7kn respectively. Distance being total doppler distance here also

Sweet Alpha Mark, doesn't matter if it's only a small increase, every PB gets harder (over time) WinkSmile

Cheers guys, that PB (a modest improvement on my previous mark) was a long time coming...has stood since Feb, 08.

Yeh Firie the Venoms seem like pretty good fins (I've got a 28 and 30, only used the 30 so far).

CA47 is a great board, but will take some getting used to, especially the gybes!
