JP Slalom V 60 NP RSR 5.8 JP 34 A good afternoon at Melville fuelled by Red Bull to overcome the effect of a night shift and a morning sail at Port Kennedy (in search of waves). Exhausted by the end of it and pretty frustrated that I couldn't squeeze an extra knot or two out of the set-up. Lots of people out and there were some scorching runs being put in by Slowie and Tim to name just a couple.

After work sail at Melville.

Took it easy as the foot is still sore so not doing gybes. Got some good runs heading away from the shallows.

As I was packing up Slowie and Tim from SRM were absolutely smoking through the shallows in the NW corner. Some top numbers I am sure.

Good turn out from the team. Can't believe that this is the first time that Chris P and Pointman have met!

Great numbers for the Swan, James! You will just have to get a speed fin/board to go faster. You will have to try the nonose *brd.

Fingers crossed for Saturday.

Short sesh at Melville after work.

Took a while for the breeze to arrive, but then it filled in to a nice 20-25K.

Nicely powered up on the 93 S-Type + 6.6 Koncept + 32 Goldwing.

A few good runs bearing away into the corner.  Would've liked a bit more TOW, but it went and got dark Yell

Still, best sail for a few weeks Smile

Ps:  finally met Chris!  Must have been one of the few Pinna's I hadn't met face to face.

Survival Sailing at Melville, but just good to be on the water.

Also good to see Lockwood back on home turf showing us all how its done. Well done to Tim on a possible PB.

Big crash today... feeling sore.

Naish SP 91; Koncept 5.8; CL SL 26cm (too small for board width in this chop)

Dalkeith dawn session.  Starboard Acid 80l, Ezzy 6.0, Select 25cm wave fin.

Only a windsurfer would think there was nothing wrong with arranging to rendezvous with some guy you'd met on the internet, in a park, in the dark.

Had a moment at the start when I was in the middle of the channel, wind dropped to less than 10 knots, I was up to my knees on a sinker knowing that I wouldn't be able to waterstart... just as I got back to shore it came in again so all was good.

Great to meet you Toby, you were flying out there, hope we can do it again some time Laughing

Solid set of numbers there James. Will you be out again tomorrow in the unlikely event there is breeze?

Sadly I have to work tomorrow! Don't start until 9.30am so I might go for a quick sail before work but I'm pretty tired and it looks like there might be some wind still around on Saturday so maybe best I save myself.

PS Trying a nautical mile in the middle of the Swan this afternoon I thought it probably wasn't all that dissimilar to your recent Maui experience!

Nebbian you are wlecome- your 2 sec was 0.604 faster than me- that makes me feel real good. All I need is the balls to carry that 6.5 I rigged first up !!

Lao Shi, I thought of you when I sailed near Pt Walter and the rocks- glad you are back.

Good one team!
