First trip to Woodies. Looked promising on the way there - a steady 20kts at Garden Island. Alas it faded and I only got two runs before it was difficult to plane. Great to get wet. Laughing Not so great to find out how unfit I am. Embarassed

Short morning session at Woodmans Point then Melville after lunch. Both sessions JP Slalom V 68 RSS III 7.8 Tomcat 40. The water state and weed, not to mention lightish wind, made Woodies pretty unfavourable for anything other than clocking up a few kilometres. Melville was a lot easier going although I was mainly sailing across the wind and didn't bear off very often. Lots of people were out which spurred me along.

Sooo unfitEmbarassed my favorite old NP carbon Boom brokeCry just cruising along and snap on the other side from windward.

I wont say how long I was out sailing to clock up 25 k's, but the 1 hour sort of tells the story Laughing

Great to see a good number of the crew all out playingCool

Top new PB James, and thanks for hanging onto my boots Smile

Morning session at Woodies with James. Got about 5 miles in before boom broke. Saw you out Patrick as I drove home sorry I missed you. Good to see you out on the water.

Afternoon session at Melville with a GPSTC cast of thousands.

Good to see Chad and hope you can get back out on the water soon. Mineral, James, Chris and Marcel out on the water.

Wanted to back up James' hour from the morning so took The Battleship out. First half hour was good and then the farken stink boat timetriallers came out. Crazy waist high chop coming from three different directions. Not fun.

Koncept 7.5, definitely more top end than the KRX but not as springy for pumping on to the plane. Battleship 84cm and select monster weedy.

Thanks James for the boom loan and well done on an awesome hour for those conditions.

Fun session at Melville. Crazy chop!

Not all that serious today as I was punishing a work-mate by teaching him how to windsurf.

Well done Mark and James. Hoiked us up a place!!!

Launched from Peli and sailed up to Melville. Boat chop was insane... I forgot my GPS Frown... spotted lots of pinnas...

Well done on the PB James... saw Lao Shi pounding through the boat chop on the battleship. Had a bit of fun dodging all the boats. Kind of wierd to be sailing on the big board again, 125 goya, 7.5 ezzy, 34 MFC weedburner

Well done guys.

Shame you forgot your GPS Marcel - majorly frustrating!

Mark, we lucked out that our combo just squeezed us into 3rd (bugger - just realised we got pipped by the SRM!) for distance!

Tomorrow the nautical mile!!!!!

I'm on for a sesh tomorrow James...what's the plan?

A decent NM will definitely give us a leg-up.

Melville again?  Woodies is only worth it if it's true Sou'Wester.

James- was fun to do a couple of runs with you today- I reckon there wasnt much in it on the square runs overall. Worked like a b@stard to keep up with you on some really long runs. Bring on the boardy weather.

Thanks for the encouragement Slowie. Great for us all to have you around helping step up our sailing to the next level.

Cam, I'm around unitl the start of February so plenty of sailing to be had yet Cool. The FNQ and the Pinnas are neck and neck this month - makes the comp all the more fun that I'm able to picture you guys racing around off GI!
