08 Koncept, had to read the instructions to work out how to rig it. The Cams kept popping of the mast as I was just downhauling first. Seem to have it worked out now but it took me a lot longer to rig than the wave sails. Waterstarting felt a bit difficult but that may actually have been the lack of wind more than the sail. Was swimming around of the end of the sandbar waiting for what seemed like ages. And of course managed to hit a rock with the new fin (just tipped it) ! Got to get that over with I suppose.

The trick with the cammed sails is to outhaul first, pop in the cams, then apply the downhaul.  When you have the downhaul on you can check the outhaul tension.  Once you get the hang of it they don't take much longer to rig than wavesails.

08/09 are good years for Koncepts.  I have 07's (6.6 + 7.5) and the luff pocket material is weak as pi$$.  They beefed em up a bit in 08.

As for all the swimming, well you weren't alone.  At one point on the S-Type I was dogging along with the water up to my thighs.

I was a bit sceptical when Mark suggested going to Peli for a fast NM, but you're right, an inspired choice.

Wow great NM's. Finding it hard to believe how good they are when compared to your 2 sec and 5x10 sec avg.

i think i was just lucky that the wind was pretty consistent and there weren't many holes during my 4 good NM runs (31.3, 31.2, 30.8, 29.5) so I could keep the speed up. Was out to do a nautical mile so the only times I was sailing at speed off the wind were whilst trying one. (5 x 20 sec 32.1kts)

Just checked James file, he has sold himself short by a poofteeth or so, in a few disciplines . He can make the changes if he wants to, his numbers are better than posted in a few spots.

Was Nebbian on the water today

Chris, Woodies is a great spot for speed.  Both my 2 sec and 5x10 PB's were set down there.  Unfortunately in summer it is usually over-run with teabaggers doing their gay showpony boosts right along the shore where the flat water is.

I've had some ripper sessions there all the same.  From the look of Marcel's track it was quite Westerly today, it works best in a true Sou'Wester or SSW.

I'm dead keen to wind up my CA47 down there next decent Sou'Wester, so we should round up some Pinna's for a raid! 

Pointman, we just need a floating sign that shows "National speed training runs in progress STAY CLEAR"   and anchor it close by.

Evets, I was in Sydney killing some brain cells.  Back on the water this week though
