5543 days ago 2 categories Sailed with Steve at Sorell Causeway. Quite a difficult day. Rigged CR 7.5 on iSonic 122 while there was <10 knots of wind, as we hit the water it increased to about 15-18 knots, so quite good, but gusty. Managed to get a 1 hr in and then it got too windy. Went in and rigged 6.5 and grabbed the new iSonic 94 and then it blew a solid 40 knots for 30 minutes!! Just had to stand in waist deep water and wait - it was lifting off and absolutely howling!! After that front went through, thought that might be it for the day, but it came back in at around 20 knots and we managed another 1 hr. I drfited off the plane as 60 minutes clicked over and then we were becalmed for a while. Then it came back in for a while and then it dropped right off so I went back in to grab the 122 to get a bit more mileage up. Managed another 30 km before the wind completely died (became mirror calm). All in all hard sailing, but very lucky to be able to make the most of the conditions.
Well done to Perks, Tom and Izaak for PB nautical miles, excellent effort.

5543 days ago 2 categories Wow, today was really hard. Sailed with Dave at the Causeway. As Dave said we went out in less than 10 knots and then about an hour later it was a solid 40 knots for about 30 minutes. Too windy to sail with the gear I had so just waited it out. All in all good fun and feeling totally shattered at the moment. Sailed the new wood Isnic 121 , 2010 Code Red 7.0, Enigma 460 mast, Select SL 39cm fin. Bought a new GPS to use as a spare and first time out it siezed up and jammed.
Well done Tom, Perks and Izaac, awesome NMs and all PBs.
