Adam (8003km): Should have gone to Hardies Today, Started early hoping to get the lower tide over the bar but made the choice to rig my 5.8 which was a tad small when i first started, bar chopped up more and more as the tide came in, in the end my best speed was on a run into the corner, not many kites there today, too windy for them i guess Carbon Art Sp50, NP RS Slalom II 5.8, sawn off 23cm FO weedy

Bender (23190km): Hardies Run ina solid 25knt SW'er F2 Missile, NP MKII 5.4m, 26cm Benetic custom weedy Was topping out at even 37's as the chop ws pretty bad. many air moments. never really went for it as it was way too scary looking for weed clumps that could kill you. Good fun all the same
Hardie (35820km): Fantastic conditions today, just not skillful enough to know how to fully exploit, had 2 37 displays, happy with mu alpha and nm they were the 2 missions of the day, elmo and crasher did a bit better than me. and an srm'er had a 40kt on the dial. overall pretty happy and the bourban is tasting veery sweet. NM and Alphas done with Iso 86 Vapor 6m and LE Weed 27cm 2sec and 5x10 done with missile s Vapor 6m and Choco weed 24cm
Decrepit (54652km): First series attempt at a doppler alpha, interesting the 1st and 2nd tarckpoint alpha's are in reversed order to the doppler 1st and 2nd. This 24.408 doppler was 24.823 trackpoint, and the 1st trackpopint, 24.869 was only 24.277 doppler. Be interesting to see what a GT31 made of these two.
Elmo (31521km): JP Speed 54, NP RSR 5.8, Elmo Weed SS 45º 29cm Wow, we had a bit of breeze, we had a mid to low tide, we had a f'ken motocross track to contend with in places as well as a weed mine field to contend with. Got the word upon araival of which areas to look out for, being a muppet had to go look myself which had a few runs where I just unhooked incase of rapid deceleartion, certainly gave my freckle some excersize, quite a few of the runs were checking to see how long the fin was and how little you could have in the water, almost did a Pepe and came close to smakcking myself in the face on one rune with the nose of my board, how I kept it on the straight and noroow I don't know. The run got bumpier and bumier as the day progressed with what looked to be rebound chop cutting short the run and giving a lot more freckle excersize when I hitting going hot. Watched quite a few runs of Bender, Crasher and 25 their boards weren"t touching much water and when they did it didn't look comfy, hopefully I've got some film of them blasting past. A great days sailing, no damage, no injuries and a good crew to sail with. Well done Crasher for the top team performance, Congrats to PD for owning the run today and for providing the best deliberate dismount I've seen in years |
