Mouth of the Swan river near Coles Bay Tas

Really good forecast 25-35 kts only to find 15 kts with the odd stronger gust feel ripped off.

Sailed with Jack who spent a lot of time slogging

First use of my new 2011koncept 5.8 cant wait for more wind the sail feels great.

Swanick

First time out for a while, was a bit of hard sail but better than doing nothing!

Looks like Dave used up all the speed in MY isonic 86 while at sandy PointLaughing Or maybe you need to train it some more dave

Had two good runs, with another 40 on the dial, with another run at 39 and then the rest were from 30-33speeds.but never thought i could do those speeds on the size fin and sail i had. Hopefully Regan got my 40 knot run of footage or a photo i think he did.

Fun sail at Dorans. Awesome to see how many people are really getting into it (slalom, freeride, gps/speed and waves). Well done Dave for getting the top speed at Dorans, considering we left on the same gust I still have some learning to do from the master of speed. New Isonic 107, Reflex 7.8 and Sting 40cm fin (fantstic combo). The Reflex can handle just about any wind strength. Those sails are amazing.

Great sail with heaps of people down at Doran's despite the wet and cold conditions.  Steve and I rigged big (Reflex 7.8's) on the iSonic 107's.  Good blasting, but no really good speeds until I caught the first part of a rain squall that came through, which pushed me up to over 36 on the dial.  As Steve said, the Reflex's are awesome, the 7.8 feels like a 7.0 and just doesn't seem to get overpowered.  Was using the 40 Venom, which feels under-done most of the time with this combo, but certainly felt fine on the fast run.

Well done Izaak, sounds like you are going really good on all of your new gear, that is fantastic!!

Bad luck Johno and Jack, sounds like you need more wind!!

Well done Kaleb on three PB's - imagine how you would have gone with the cammed sail!!!

Despite the cold, a good, fun sail.

PS - I took some lead weight out of my weight jacket and left it on a rock near the carpark.  Not there when I next came in, so someone may have picked it up thinking it had been there for a while.  Not worth much, but keen to get it back to save having to buy more if anyone picked it up.

OK, just been on the phone to Russ.  His GPS had the file size set to 128kb, so every time it reached 128kb it would start a new file.  This resulted in four seperate files being created.  There was also a glitch with the GPS being left on in the car for the first part of the trip home.  Anyway, Russ has saved the data on the internal memory to card and has emailed this to me and I've removed the tracks that were taken while in the car and all now appears fine.  I've analysed the tracks and have posted Russ' scores.

Thanks Dave, still some fuel in the old buggers tank. Looking forward to the Showdown regatta.

Seems the measures put in place by the new Windsurfing Tas folk, (ie website and windsurfers talking to each other via forums) has revitalised things somewhat, really great to see the wave and slalom boys getting together.

Well Done Gordo and others on PBs.

Russ, I was watching you, on some runs I thought you'd have been well over 30.

Izaac, send your GPS back and get a refund, it obviously has a glitch and wont read 40!!!!

Dave, sent you a pm on SB re weights.
