Another top easterly sail at wallyworld.

On my own except for the three local dolphins early on then joined by Windxtasy and later Slowboat.

Saw him do one smoking run along the bar and went to join him but the kiters flooded the bar and couldn't be bothered with combat.

Point Walter, WA, AU

85 Sonic, 5.7 Koncept, 32 Vector 18-20 knots

My first sail at Pt Walter in an easterly, so it was fun exploring and sailing the chop.

GPS said my trip max speed was 28.47 (which was very exciting and would have been a PB), so a bit disappointed to only get 24 on the 2 sec. Drat.

Nice to meet up with Lao and Slowboat

Great Easterly sail out of Peli.

Not as windy as last Sunday, gusts were probably 22-23K, and I was pretty comfortable on my 111 Futura + 7.6 TR7 + 42 Canefire/40 Talon combo.

Second time I've used the Canefire, great fin, very powerful, but not as fast as the 40 Talon.  In fact I was struggling to crack 30 with it and came in to change over to the Talon.   However, I got my best alpha's on the Canefire.

Sailed from 8.15 to noon with a couple of breaks, then had to go and play squash.  Needless to say I was a bit sluggish on the court.

Loving these easterlies! Cool

Sorry Mark, distance effort wasn't premeditated (although I did head back out for half an hour when I saw the ton was close) Embarassed

Nice speed and alpha by you.  I couldn't crack 24 today, wasn't going quick enough, but happy with a 23 (would've been a PB a week ago).

What was the wind strength at Pt Walter?  It was only 18-22K at Peli.
