Pittwater, Fanatic Cross 120, 7.5, 6.6, 5.3, changed down as wind picked up. A bit gusty and not as nice as Monday, but fun in the sun nevertheless!

Good to get out on the water.  Sailed at Pittwater first with Klaas, Karen and Jez and got two of my best 5x10 second runs, but very gusty and despite it looking relatively flat there was pretty nasty short chop that you sailed into one way and sailed over the other!  Tide was going out pretty quick and not that inspiring, so packed up and went to Dorans.  I thin the wind dropped out just as we got there!  Still a few squalls coming through though, so back out again on the same gear - iSonic 86slim, Reflex 6.2 and Venom 32.  More wind would have been nice.  It was probably gusting 10-30 knots at Pittwater and 5-25 knots at Doran's.  Good to see quite a few out at Doran's.  I think Kaleb got the best of the winds though - Wink

Dorans, TAS, AU

Starboard isonic 86, KA Koncept 5.8 and Venom 34

Started off at 5 mile with Dave, Kazza and Klass, it was very gusty and choppy further out. This spot can be good just needed more north in the direction and get there just before hight tide. Good spot to practise the gybing though :) Decided to packup shop and head to Dorans with Dave (kazza followed later) not much better there really.

Looking forward to getting my new sails Tongue out

Well done Dave, Nice set of numbers!!!!!! Nice peak and 10 x 5 Klaas keep up the fantastic work. 6.2 to 6.4 is what everyone is using in some very strong wind these days... Remember we were all using 4.7 in the same wind not that Long ago. Sorry I could not get out of work to back the team up. Cheers Russ

PBs are pretty easy to get regularly when you start from scratch and improve slowly :-). Now that I've figured out how to get the board moving at all, I'm absolutely amazed by the speeds you guys manage to do regularly! Especially in choppy conditions. The only time I manage to go fast (well fast for me) is with my biggest sail (7.5) in smooth low wind conditions... The rest of the time I'm just slowly bouncing over the waves!
