Safety Bay, WA, AU

saw the email from mark at about 1.30 as i was working on the board slowie gave me and seeing i had just finished what i was going to do today i said oh bugger it i'll go to sb

was great to see mark again as well as anita and so we had a board swap i borrowed marks nonose and then i gave anita my 76 isonic, i think we were both pretty happy with how our sessions went on unknown gear

was great to finally have the 6.2 back again, absolutly fantastic sail can't believe what i've been missing out on over the last few weeks

short sesh breeze never really kicked but was deffinatly worth the travel just to say hi to some freinds and have a try of some different gear

6.2 reflex, nonose, 24 custom weedy, 6.5 kg of lead

lead may have shortened my sesh a bit but i got the best of it anyway

Woodmans Point, WA, AU

Fun session with Norts, Darryl, Chris A and later Chris L. Found the run too un-nerving with all the kites so sailed mostly offshore.

Isonic 86, Code Red 6.1, Choco Weedy 28

I have fallen off the speed wagon!Embarassed I was speed clean 9 days!Surprised

The forecast looked promising but never came in.

Nice afternoon at Sbay with a good collection of crew.

Great to meet the visiting Tassies and catch up with Lightworker again.

Strange to get back on the nonose briefly after Lurch.

Top 3 speeds were in the first 4 runs which were sweet but then the wind died when Slowy came out. Still only a fraction off last year's best 5x10 so can't complain.

Posted for Windxtasy after removing some really random data!

Thanks Mark, although I did like some of the other numbers, especially the peak of 186 km/hr!

Safety Bay, 20 knots, 5.8 Koncept, 76 iSonic and 28 FO weedy

Thanks Sean for the loan of the board after my fave Sonic was wounded on Saturday. I thought I was going to have to use a waveboard. I liked the iSonic but it didn't feel as slippery as my Sonic. I would have liked to get a 2 sec 30 but it wasn't to be. Still the 2 sec and 5 X 10 were my second best ever, so can't complain. Nice to have a bit of a team gathering today.

Beautiful day to be out for a sail. I missed the email from captn about SafetyB. Would have been there with bells on, will check my emails next time.

It felt windy out there but I couldn't seam to get any real grunt, I think the gusts where just to short today. Always seamed to be pointing up. Tried tweaking the rig a few times but in end I blamed me new harness linesWink

Whoo hoo! Nice alpha Sean!

I'll have to send my tracks to Mark for him to sort out on realspeed, as KA 72 tells me I had a 2 sec of 35.36 knots, a nm of 98.52 and a 100m peak of 137.55!

I WISH!!!!

i beleive you anita, looked like you were going well over 100km/h down the run today Wink

funny that i got an alpha pb and i only made about 10 attempts with a fair few spoilt by kiters Yell

funny what happens when you have the right gear for the wind and you put on a bit of weight Tongue out

but thank god it's temporary weight i could not live with those extra kg's it's just so much harder standing up

obviously didn't make any attempts at some jybes on my board there anita, you should have had a go it's one of the nicest boards i have ever jybed, it's probably the most forgiving board. you can go into the jybe going really slow and really over powered and so long as you have your knees bent it just sits in the water the whole way through doesn't accelerate or stop so no falling off the back nonsense and no getting thrown over the front even when you are fully lit, heaps better than my sonic 85, but yet to do a proper comparison with the mistral 57 i suspect it will be a close contest from the fun i had on the first outing of the mistral Laughing

As I said Sean, I was taking care of your board because it wasn't mine and I knew it would be safe as long as I didn't attempt any gybes!

Nice team sesh @ the Beaver! I had a play in the waves at Lano, but it's been a couple of years since I used the wave kit and I was a bit underdone on a 5.3 (breeze backed off up here as well after 4). Still a nice sail. Think I'll be back on the slalom gear tomorrow for some LOC training.

^ My peak speed, 266.3 knots! (some of the random data unfortunately)

Note to self: Never allow yourself to be photographed with a go pro. The distortion is very unflattering. (That's my excuse anyway)
