F2 SX 111lt,7.5 O.D.,40cm DEB SL2

Very patchy, hard work at times, good to get a sail in though.Tongue out

Great to catch up and have a chat with FattMatt,Wog and Grumpy Smile

Very suprised with the Alpha PB,must be the new board!!

On the water at 2 - the wind stayed a pretty constant 20 knots all day. No strong bullets to squeeze out a decent 2 sec.

Still a great day with 5 Pinnaroos sailing.

Same speeds with my new Isonic and with the F2.

Great arvo at Safety Bay with some good crew Wink

On the water @ 2.45 with my 90 XFire + 7.6 TR7 + 34 weedster combo.

Breeze was only 18-22K, so speeds were never gonna be epic, but it was pretty flat and not too crowded, a nice vibe Cool

After 90 minutes the hammy cramps told me I needed to rest and rehydrate.  Came in for a break and decided to change down, as it felt like the breeze was building and I was finding the 7.6 a bit of a handful.

Back into it around 4.45 on the 90 + 31 weedy + 6.6 TR7.

Couldn't get off the beach Yell

After grovelling back and forth for 15 minutes gave up and plugged in the Futura 111 + 36 weedy for a bit more float.

Spent the last hour just cruising around on this set-up, too underpowered for speed or alphas.

A really enjoyable arvo, nice to sail with some team mates. Laughing

Could not get comfortable today on the RRD 80, Turbo 6.5 and 26weedie, despite Scargo's tuning tips.

Arrived just after 11am with strong wind which dropped until about 5pm, by which time I was too tired to take advantage of that.

Good to see Snake and JJ going well.

Woodman Point.

Cruisy session always hoping for more wind. Good tide to get right in close to the beach.

If it wasn't dangerous enough with 10+ kiters and 3 spear fishermen someone brought out a big fancy camera and all hell broke loose. Then I decided it was time to head in.

20-30kts forcast? Bwahhaha!! Where??  Gusty crap once again. Should have gone to the beaver with the rest of the team but didn't check my emails.

Congrats to Damo and JJ on the PB's. Good to see JJ putting in a bit of effort instead of his usuall 2 sec show pony stuff.

Welcome back Chris

Team Pinnaroos Beaver raid, great day! Got down about 1 and was greeted by JJ, Scarrgo, Ricey, Tomski, Decrep and Slugger - big turnout!! Had lunch and rigged the 6.3 as Pointy arrived. Wind was probably around the 17-20 range. Gave the strip a few runs but it was hard going to get any decent speeds, so decided to head up to pengos for a NM run. I got halfway across the sound, gybed, and then the front strap pulled out - shearing the screw clean off! That was an interesting run back in down the swells Surprised pulled out the bad screw (cheers slowy) in with another and back out to pengos for the NM. The run on the way up to pengos felt great but just not enough juice in the downwinder back. had a few more cracks at the strip trying to catch the Pointy one and then felt the wind kicking up a notch (or so we all thought) and went in to rig 5.7. Had 2 strip runs feeling good then thought about giving another pengos run a try. Got out in the sound, gybed, and then everything went sogggy - the booom head was gone - I could see the broken arm hanging out of the head and inching its way further Surprised Featherlight-touch-on-the-boom-sail back towards the bar and luckily made it just shy before the whole head popped. Only a short drift back in to shore to grab the old pryde carbon backup and back out for a few more hours to wrap up the day. Eventful day but worth the trip as always Cool Great to sail with a bunch of the team !! Cool

Safety Bay, WA, AU

disapointed with my speeds of late not sure whats wrong other than a distinct lack of wind

started on the 6.2 and 91 and 24 weedy

moved to 5.0 with 91 and 24 weedy

then to the 5.0 with the 76 and 24 weedy

both combo's with the 5.0 were the same speed on peak

but that has just sealed the deal for me after sailing the mistral for most of the distance i was feeling good but after sailing the isonic for only a little way i was knackered that thing is soooooo bouncy

6.2 reflex, 5.0 koncept, 91 mistral sl, 76 isonic, 24 custom weedy

Nice bump up the table team! I was so sad not to be able to join you guys today. The conditions would have been just right for me and I was looking forward to it. Unfortunately my back was just too sore. I overdid it yesterday trying to free up time for today and paid the price today. I wouldn't have even been able to carry my gear to the water.

Welcome back Chris, and well done Jake with 6 jelly beans today. I hope you don't suffer too much in the next few days.

It's good to be back!

Well done on the PB's guys, and a nice set of numbers all around.

I'm moving to Mandurah on the weekend and staying for a few months until our tenants lease is up. If anyone is keen for a sail on the estuary or a sneaky wave at Avalon give me a call.

Hey Grumpy.

You'd be doing the world a favour to take a chainsaw to LBX. I'm amazed its not yet a smokey hole in the ground.

I've swapped from Aerospace to sub-sea robotics, so now I'm working at TMT building ROV's.
