April last year since my last PB, nice to score one before the year is out. Classic Melville day, nice and flat. Pointman was going well but didn't see any other team mates.

On my lonesome at Leighton to enjoy a nice steady 20 knots.
First try in the ocean with 6kg extra weight, really settles things down nicely although water starts are a bit tricky...
NM was a bit timid as I didn't want to crash out there on my own with the extra weight flying around
Anyway happy with open ocean PBs

Had a chat with Jake and Gareth (trying to get Gareth to join the club).
Patrick, that's some dense Google overlay. Plenty of work in that PB. Congratulations.
I could see Jake doing his runs, but what ever I did today, felt wrong. I think I'll start with the harness. My waist harness hook is too high up. I think I need a seat harness to lower the centre of gravity to start with, then a 7.5m speed sail, then...

4403 days ago 1 categories Short sesh at Peli Pt, should have been on the 90/7.0 probably but was too lazy to change boards. Plenty of stops to make sure my girlfriend was ok on her new learners rig. The 107 was flying all over the place, no chance to keep it down with all the boat chop and patchy wind - ankle overload! got lifted too many times to count, one crash ended with my leg up over the boom!! 90l next time...

4403 days ago 2 categories Nice sesh at Melville in 18-20K.
Third outing on the Mistral 112 and I'm starting to get her dialled. 7.6 TR7 + 40 Sting.
Felt like I should have been able to get a bit more speed out of the set-up, but looking at other sailors' posts I was going OK.
Saw Macka grinding out the alpha's and decided to have a crack at a few as well. The new board is sweet to gybe, she really carries the speed through the turn.
A pretty good sesh allround, nice and flat and quite a steady breeze for Meliville.
