84L JP Slalom IV, 7.0m Gaastra GTX, 34cm JP fin Very bumpy and very jumpy! Made it a bit perilous going for speed, not quite used to flying off the lip of waves at 25kts yet... Great to give the new sail a good test in strong wind, and it was really impressive. Very stable even when overpowered. Snapped my boom when close to shore, and was able to sail home on the other side - so I count that as a big escape. Swimming in from a long way out wouldn't have been much fun I suspect. | ||||||||||||||||||
