Arrived in the dark and was out sailing around 7:30am. Was looking like it would be an awesome session to be had. Until the wind swung NNE. Will be interesting to see how the others went in the western inlet. and down south! look out FNQ!

Hope the other boys picked the right inlet to sail. Far too northerly where we were.

4148 days ago Stanley, TAS, AU Fun session at the West Inlet with Captain Cook and Todd. Direction NNE wasnt too bad, but wind started to fade not long after I hit the water.
I expect Cookie will have some respectable figures.

4148 days ago Stanley, TAS, AU, A bit gusty for me to stay on the plane a lot of the time, Todd was flying though. Just needed a bit more North in the wind direction to get a decent alpha up and down the channel.

4148 days ago Marion Bay, 2013 IS 90, R3 5.6. Good session at marion. Was going for Nautical Miles and thought I had a close to 30 knot one but when I checked on google earth I was only getting 0.93 of a Nautical mile! Oh well at least I did a couple of runs the other direction so I got something. The 90 felt pretty good, pretty different to my IS86slim.

What a first blast 1 hour on the new Exocet RS2 it was sooo much fun and stable even in very tricky way overpowered gybes at each end It was so much fun...
This board is so refined and stable when blasting and even when it looked tricky to gybe I just locked the rail and round it went!!
Thanks Jez for comming down early with me shame i ran oiut of time before testing the 2 sec peak. anyway heaps down there after me with more water and wind getting stronger so look out for some special posts I think.
Cheers Russ

Early 5am start for the drive to Stanley. Got their just before daybreak hoping and expecting fair winds at a good direction for the channels. Duh diill(fail buzzer noise)! A bit north and wind a bit on the light side. Went had a crack but nothing spectacular. Rained the whole drive there, rained while rigging, rained while sailing, rained while derigging, rained on the drive home, still raining. Good to be out sailing haha

Halfway through the month, 4 points behind the lead, fresh froth from all those apples we just ate, we can do it lads!!
