Pinnaroo Point, 101L/7m. Great fun at he home patch. The wind was perfect, but the chop was very limiting. Got unhooked at speed and hit the water pretty hard. Felt it on the helmet and chest. The impact vest paid off.  Still, had a lot of fun today. Even managed a few dodgy gybes.

Geoff and Lezz were smoking in difficult conditions.

Leighton Beach, WA, AU

Another NM session with Norts and Claude, on the water at 3.30, looked like a solid 22 kn and building so took the Isonic but the breeze suprisingly moderated and I was mostly underpowered. Ugly big chop out there today...

Swapped to the M112 with new CL 34 at about 5 and went a knot faster over the NM - heaps more powered up.

Sailed with 4kg lead all afternoon, probably not ideal wind for it but it really helps level out the bumps.

Safety Bay, rigged the 5.8 thinking it was going to get windy - should have used something bigger but only had the choice of the 7.3, wind dropped so it probably would have been ok as it turned out. Pretty busy down there with a lot of kites.

Pelican Point, WA, AU. Arrived at 4:45 and was on the water soon after - in fact at the precise moment the wind gusted to 20 knots once and then switched off completely  Tried to make the most of it so went out and had a few blasts on the 107 joined by Radissimo but was pretty much pumping to get going after each gybe. Called it a day near dark.

Not as much wind as we thought, but a very pleasant afternoon. Good gybing practice

got the captains orders so headed for safety bay!

wind not quite as strong as expected but took the 87 7.0 27cm weedspeed out anyway

conclusion....i dont like weed fins, always seem to be going sideways unless you are on a 45 degree beam reach!

secondly...i dont like Kitesurfers...especially the ones who are totally out of control and seem to drop their kites with gay abandon right in front of you.

The speed run was good but just not enough strength in the gusts to really get fizzing.

Anyway it was a nice change, sorry i didnt see any of the rest of the team.

Session cut short with a broken plastic sail turban that slipped off the mast. Managed to roughly relocate it (with the help of one of the locals) and get back to shore. Thanks a lot Dave.

Good to catch up with Lester and Danijel and have a yarn but unfortunately I didn’t get to spend much time on the water with them.

Nice little session at Dutchies after a frustrating day.

Amazing how much better life feels after a good blast.
