Light wind experiment today, tried the 7.0 on the 53cm board with the 31cm 40deg woody weedy. Worked very well but there is a definate sweet spot. too much wind and I start to tail walk, too little and I'm working to keeo it trimmed, just right is nicely balanced and almost effortless.

Disappointing day, underpowered but I think I would have been struggling regardless. The seabreeze just seemed as though it could not be bothered filling properly on this side.Pretty much grovelled around until pick up tin lids time. It could have been a great day because the tide was perfect and the water really clear on the weedy flats...just no wind.

Was looking forward to banging out another hour today but the wind had other ideas as it was very Laxidaical and generally uninterested in playing the game, struggled trying out different fins today trying to get one to work as they were all struggling being underpowered.

It wasn't all doom and gloom, got some nicely powered gusts and even a couple of decent jumps, buggered if I know why I'm doing them of late as I'm not normally a fan of airtime, just figuring in getting some practice landing as the jumping is generaly the easy bit. There'll probably be a tale of muppetism before to long.

Simon found that the rock garden eats Drake slalom fins for afternoons snacksWink.

Even with ordinary wind it's still a nice way to cap of the day.CoolCoolCool

Inaugural posting. Have met the wonderful character Elmo in Mandurah a few times and have been invited to join the Mandurah mob.

Session was a bit low on wind, and way too short. I did get a good sense for where the "rock garden" is. Smashed my fin over rocks rather than a bottle of champers over the bow.

Obviously PBs all round today. Look forward to posting my sessions and bettering my statistics.

Hey welcome Sparky, as the resident newbie you are expected to be the crappest. So if you post any PB's better than mine there will be consequences.....I also worry about ' the wonderful character' bit too. Was he off his medication again?

Yep, welcome Sparky, looking forward to sailing with you.

Interesting we lost one Simon (slugger) to the Bunbury guys last week and gain a replacement Simon this week.
