Van ride in was exciting, wet and boggy track, HiAce with no rear grip, hammer down and keep it there. Phew! just made it.

Water was choppy, choppy, choppy but a piece of piss after the van ride.

Goose point with a decent breeze for the first time in a while and with water, Yippee.

Shallow water, hard to get going on a 23cm fin in 25cm deep water.

Had some mighty exciting rides in the chop. Good fun.

One day we'll get wind and flat water ....please?

New board. Made it a year ago but first powered up sail on it.

Very safe in the chop, had several \"I'm gonna die\" events but it straightened itself out nicely.

Fin was great.

More of this please Hughie!

Goose point, windy choppy, Just could'nt get enough speed through the chop and onto the flat water to throw a decent slingshot. My 65kg frame needs to get weight on. Still my second fastest session. Did have 39.12 on the dail but doppler delt to that. Consistantly over 38knots...happy!!!  Isonic 44, R3 5.6, Mykz(worn down) 22/25

Good sesh with Jose on 5.6... good for bump n jump. Headed up to 1/2 moon bay when water ran out, plenty of rain at times, tried older stiff fin which spun out in current 2 or 3 times but otherwise all good

Wind was Nor east, swung north couple of times but didn't stay there.

Wierd chop which seemed to be due to wind strength.

The chop was less when the wind backed off so the good gusts meant good chop also, exciting, but it slowed things down.

I suspect  that my smaller sail keeps things under control and faster in this sort of chop.

One day we'll get chop and wind right and it will be fast.

Great stuff guys, excellent video too but can't see any flounder in the video at that speed!

Hi Decrep,

Yep, happy with that new board but my knees aren't today.

This is the first speed board I've built which is all carbon.

Won't be doing that again. Beat my knees to death.

I reckon for an old fart like me, my usual construction is much better.

All my others are 125gr glass/72gr kevlar/200gr glass......much smoother ride.

Dave, flounder is in Dan's 4th still pic just ahead and right of the nose.

They leap about like Dolphins.

Lake has flounder (and eels) everywhere, big population explosion in the last few years, I guess they like the nitrates?

Heard a commercial guy took 17 tons in 2012 in summer alone.

The local polynesian crew love it, they're out there with us all the time, nets everywhere.
