Windxtasy (14010km): Melville Beach, WA, AU 5.7 Koncept 85 Sonic 32 vector There is only one word for it - SKUNKED! Packed for the forecast, rigged the biggest I had with me when I got there expecting the wind to come in but it just passed us by. Howling on the coast, but calm on the river although the Melville water graph said otherwise. A seagull with gas must have been sitting on the dolphin 2 pylon where the anemometer is. It was almost like there was a wall built along the coast stopping the wind (and rain) from coming onto the coastal plain. I have to hope some of the Pinnaroos went to Pinnaroo Point today - plenty of wind there! Positives - I did get to open my account for the month it wasn't cold and was sunny a lot of the time it was fun while it lasted I did complete a gybe I only got my legs wet had a good chat with Jeff and Col in my current state of unfitness a short sail was probably best I did get to try out my new sunnies with the yellow filter - I saw clearly, they didn't fog up, and the yellow filter made seeing in the overcast conditions a lot clearer, and no sore temples from arms pressing into the sides of my head.
JJ (25827km): Peel Inlet, Liptons Awesome day, 15 knots till about 2 then filled in to around 20 knots. Epic NM run which went for about 3 miles side by side with Norts, right across the the estuary down the swell lines, resulting in a 30+ NM - a PB for this board, stoked Quite tough to get a decent NM close to shore as ran into the wind shadow from Point Grey every time before the mile was up. Mistral 112 (love this board), GPS 7.3, CL carbon weedy 31

Geoff (4576km): Nice little session in and around the pond. Planned Melville but ended up at Safety Bay. Crawled down the freeway in morning traffic to see glimpses of the river looking not so awesome, so I decided to carry on to SB. Chris was just leaving as I was arriving and the wind was moderating. Fortunately, it picked up again mid to late afternoon. Tom arrived sometime after lunch and was still out when I left. 90s Seatrend Slalom - 5.3 Tush Lightning (not enough lightnin') - Choco 26 Weed
lao shi (41082km): Got to Dutchies after the W word to see way more wind than I had hoped for! A couple of good runs with some nice little lumps coming through and then it switched off! Dogged around for a while catching the odd wave and then it really died! Just as I had packed up I watched a little bit come back in and a couple of guys getting some sweet rides!
